  1. Michigan 5-1 final over Minnesota LMFAO
  2. 5-1 Michigan right now
  3. Michigan up 3-1 on Minnesota early 3rd
  4. BIG HIT STRINDEN
  5. That kid eating popcorn who they showed on the broadcast just now is a vibe lol
  6. Woo, Pickford, & the Ruck Twins have been dominant this year. Would love to add the Ruck Twins next year or the year after
  7. The difference in league style & thus production amount/quality in junior is vast. The USHL is harder to score in (better goaltending & defense, but also less offensive skill), while the Dub is much higher offensive skill, but worse defensively & thus easier to produce. Woo should be able to produce at a solid amount next year in the NCAA. Different positions, but Oliver Tulk was dominant in the Dub last year as a 19 year old and has been very solid at Wisconsin this year, I'd expect similar impact from Woo at Arizona State next season.
  8. Depends on when he feels ready to turn pro. I would guess he's a 2-3 year player
  9. Jonas Woo (2006, Winnipeg, MB, Medicine Hat Tigers) commits to Arizona State. That's a very nice recruiting win for the Sun Devils
  10. Good point, I had forgotten Berry (& likely Karl Goehring) was recruiting Spunar prior to the coaching change. Credit to him
  11. Boston College, Boston University, & Minnesota have 1 CHLer combined, that being Terriers forward Ryder Ritchie. That will certainly change in the future, very interesting to note. Chyzyk/Jackson going after Verhoeff & Reschny made complete sense, both have been home runs. But going after Spunar (played in the Dub before the USHL), Josephson and Zakreski was ELITE under the radar recruiting/scouting. Masterclass from Chyzyk, Jackson, and the whole staff. CHLers being NCAA eligible is awesome, makes both major junior & NCAA Hockey so much more fun & interesting to follow IMHO
  12. Verhoeff at 6, Williams at 27 on the latest Craig's List for the 2026 Draft.
  13. Michal Pradel (2007, Tri City Storm) commits to Colorado College. Good goalie for the Tigers to replace Mbereko going forward
  14. Like Zellers last season, Simpson is being seriously underrated across the country as a future NCAA player. Should be great very quickly once he gets on campus
  15. In this era, you hope you get 2 years from your players, can't guarantee anything more than that now. 1 & done would suck, but if you make a deep run, you live with the trade off.
  16. Looks like Alex Calbeck is being added to the Western Michigan roster following the loss of Joona Vaisanen for the season. WMU's last add/drop date for classes is January 20th, so it would appear they had time to get Calbeck enrolled & then on the roster.
  17. 83 GF in 22 GP = 3.77 goals per game Very good goal numbers so far this season. Averaged 3.24 goals per game last season, so fairly substantial improvement. Credit to Chyzyk and Jackson once again!
  18. He fits the Michigan arrogance stereotype, so that tracks. He's a very good recruiter and made sure things didn't fall apart in the short term after Pearson was forced out, but everyone has been skeptical of his coaching prowess, culminating in last year's tournament miss. I will say that Naurato has done a very good job with Michigan this year so far, didn't expect them to be this good this season.
  19. Naurato staying at Michigan for awhile
  20. I probably commented about this pages ago, but we're much more likely to see quieter August 1st through October 1st first time eligible commitment periods going forward. The top US players might still have interest in committing that early, but with a much larger player pool opened up now via the Canadian Hockey League, coaches can recruit hundreds of older junior players with more track record of production/easier projection to do. Recruiting 15 year olds coming out of minor/prep/HS hockey is extremely hit or miss due to having to do a 4-5 year projection outward of what these guys will be. Going up to Brandon to watch the Wheat Kings play the Saskatoon Blades for example, you're recruiting guys in junior who are years older in most cases, and projecting outcomes from junior to the NCAA is much easier than minor/prep/HS to the NCAA. As we saw last August 1, very few Canadian 2009s committed during that window, and that allows for coaches to track them in junior and see the progression (or lack thereof) before offering them. NIL in some cases will also play a factor, but that's mostly for high end potential recruits.
  21. Wouldn't want to play Minnesota Duluth either
  22. This year feels more wide open for the tournament. Ivankovic out for Michigan, Michigan State still hasn't gotten over the hump & gone deep with Nightingale; Penn State, Denver, & Western Michigan up & down. Perfect year to make a run
