  1. I cannot wait for Friday. Hoping Schloss posts his August 1 List(s) today or tomorrow.
  2. Zellers is going to be so good. Everyone has slept on him to some extent because he was at Shattuck in his DY (Shattuck stats are hard to contextualize & project out), then went to Green Bay for his D+1. He didn't get the DY hype train because he wasn't playing & dominating junior, nor was he in normal MN HS at a place like Maple Grove, where he'd have a big hype machine. Additionally, the USHL (especially for D+1 guys) doesn't get as much attention as it has deserved.
  3. Part of the reason why so many Canadian goalies have sucked is because they’ve gone the major junior route, and most of the CHL (yes even the Dub), lacks solid defensive structure and the goalies get lit up like a shooter tutor. Also, CHLers under the old rules were forced to turn pro at 20/21 years old, and most of em aren’t good enough to breakthrough into the A at that age, forcing them into the Coast or complete bust status. If more of even the decent Canadian goalies went the NCAA route like Devon Levi did, I think they’d have better results in pro. The new rules allowing CHLers to play in the NCAA should really help Canadian goalies. I fully expect Josh Ravensbergen (2007) to go to the NCAA before he turns pro, as Jack Ivankovic (2007) will be doing at Michigan.
  4. Forget if I or someone else posted this, but here's the 2025 US U17 Four Nations Roster, all of them non NTDP 2009s. Some of these mid-later born guys are only going into their sophomore year of HS, thus not eligible to commit until August 1 2026, but a lot of good targets on here. 2025 U.S. Under-17 Select Team
  5. Would be nice if Dayne Beuker (2008) made up his mind about where he'll commit. Was elite in minor hockey in Saskatchewan, had a very good, but not elite u17 year with the NTDP. There's been speculation on if he'd leave the NTDP and go to the Dub (Lethbridge owns his rights), and it's been quiet on the NCAA recruiting front for him.
  6. I would love for Zakreski to be anything close to Caggiula
  7. Bowling Green, Colorado College, Nebraska Omaha (Dub alums in USports) have been recruiting the Dub quite well. Penn State with a few nice additions as well of course.
  8. I think he's probably a 3 year guy unless he generates zero pro interest prior to his senior year, and thus would spend all 4 years. If he pops off and is a beast right away at UND, then he's a 2 year guy, which would be a good problem to have in the short term because high end play from MacKenzie would result in greater success in 2027 and 2028.
  9. LFG!!! Carson Carels is my guess
  10. Would expect many of the top (normal bday) US 2009s will commit pretty quickly. I think all of the late bday US 2008s will commit right away since they've been waiting awhile. Guys like Wyatt Cullen, Tyler Martyniuk, Luca Jarvis, Kade Meyer.
  11. Guessing Colin Grubb won't be committing on or shortly after August 1. But certainly someone we all should have on our checklist
  12. Might have to wait till August 1, but that's only a week away
  13. US 2009s to watch for August 1
  14. Just checked it out, appears to be from the Colorado College series. Hopefully he & several others on that visit loved the Ralph & campus
  15. From what I ready on Twitter, it made it seem like Ryan is going to serve in a hockey operations/off ice role and not as a player. Unless I'm totally misreading Dave's tweet.
  16. It would appear so, but I haven't done the biggest deep dive into the Canadian 2009s yet. Landon DuPont is in his own tier, then James Scantlebury, Alexis Joseph, Eli McKamey seem to be in the next tier, but I've read great things about Brock Cripps, Brock Chitaroni, Blake Chorney, Kaden McGregor, Camryn Warren, and others like Brock England. So not sure how big Tier 2 is but England is definitely a 4 star ranking.
  17. Considering he'd been on 3 HS teams in the previous 3 years before a year with the Fargo Force, not the most surprising thing. Volatility is just common with his situation, the GPLers brought it up on their forum last year prior to August 1. Might be a "Coach Dad" situation going on there.
  18. He told me via Twitter DM that he's hoping to have a big list (or two) out by early to mid next week. He's busy with multiple things going on so it'll be out a bit later than usual.
  19. This is the result of CHLers being NCAA eligible now. Lower tier NAHL guys who were getting NCAA scholarships will be pushed down to D3 & ACHA. Very possible he has friends at Oklahoma State, the exposure to Oklahoma culture from his billet family & overall living down there pushed him in that direction, or he just wanted the big school experience but still play some sort of hockey. Going to play D3 at Gustavus Adolphus or Adrian can get pretty expensive in terms of private tuition.
  20. Highly touted 2009 center & Red Deer Alberta native Brock England follows North Dakota on IG. He'll be with the Seattle Thunderbirds in the Dub full time this year for his 16 year old season. I would imagine he's one of many targets for Chyzyk and Jackson.
  21. The black NODAK jersey is the best one here IMHO. Agreed with @AlphaMikeFoxtrot that the Fighting Hawks "Post Office esque" logo on the shoulder doesn't look good.
  22. Diagonal NODAK wordmark is solid. The bland ass "NORTH DAKOTA" wordmark just isn't good. This is why I love most NHL jerseys, very much prefer the logo/crest on the front instead of wordmarks.
  23. Did they release them already?
  24. A lot but not all. Nguyen (Dub), Woodworth (Q), & Sova (O) are all 2004s that were very solid producers in junior. I'm actually excited to see how UNO does in the NCHC this season. St Thomas doesn't have the tradition/history of North Dakota, Minnesota, Denver, Michigan, Wisconsin, & even Minnesota Duluth at this point. Part of the reason why I don't get excited about them on the schedule.
