Not the first pro player, tons of Europeans play some European Pro games as affiliate players and then play in the NCAA. Tom Willander (2023 Vancouver 1st rounder) the most recent prominent example of this.
Michigan Tech ties it, 1-1 game. 2 CHLers and our former future friend Isaac Gordon get points on the goal, nice to see 3 Canadians scoring against Minnesota to stick it to them.
Really interested to see what happens in Michigan Tech Minnesota. If UMN can boatrace the Huskies, it may signify that they're way better than I expect.
Agreed completely. I could see Wisconsin being higher in the national rankings if Hastings gets them playing to an identity early on & they have a slightly higher shooting percentage.
Going to play for North Dakota (best fanbase in NCAA Hockey) and drafted by the Boston Bruins (best US fanbase in the NHL), he can become a legend amongst so many if he's dialed in and rounds out his game just a bit.
Denver could with Davis gone, but I think Western Michigan will still be damn good with Slukynsky in net. Their key will be replacing Bump's production, but with Ferschweiler's ability to turn nobodies into dudes, I think the Broncos will be fine
Rosters have to be finalized when the entrance/drop date for fall term classes occurs. Hence why Pitlick enrolled so late at Minnesota State and was on their roster very late.
The NCAA has to come out and amend some bylaws to make it clear who is eligible and who isn't, or it turns into an even crazier Wild West recruiting world
Stenberg signed a pro deal in the SHL. Believe that nullifies any potential NCAA eligibility. Although the European Pro basketball players that the NCAA has ruled eligible means anything in theory is possible.
