While I agree with the point you are trying to make, it's not a great example. Kentucky led the whole nation in team 3 pt % at 41% for the year. (They lost because they play literally 0 defense.) Pretty similar to us this season. We have 0 girls that can shoot. We also have very few good athletes. Pemberton is probably about it in this category. So we have 0 girls that can shoot and we also have 1 girl that is a really good athlete. That is absolutely terrible roster management this past season. This needs to be solved in a big way for next year.

And then guess what good coaches do….. they acquire good talent out of the portal again. Or they find a way to retain their players. It’s not a very hard concept to understand. Sure it may suck for fans to see some players leave, but like @GoodGood said, good coaches figure it out and not good coaches make excuses.

It was also strategic to announce it on the first day of March Madness hoping that it would get lost in the shuffle and less people would see it. Our athletic department is a joke

I agree McBuckets! I would hate to be playing in March Madness and all the memories that come along with that. I would way rather be sitting on my couch watching the game while playing for a team that isn't even eligible to make the tournament.

You keep trying to throw this narrative out that there is some "angst" or some "prior issues". You couldn't be further from the truth. Some people just don't think he is a good coach at the D1 level. I would say that is backed by many logical and legitimate reasons that have been pointed out in this forum, but also proven by his win % in 5 years at UND.........39%. It has nothing to do with Sather specifically. Some people just want to watch UND win games at a higher clip than 39%. It is really that simple pal.
