  1. I don't think it will be enough, but Omaha put together the largest Mid-Major NIL package to date to try and keep Frankie Fiddler a Maverick next year. Tony Osborn made a cryptic Twitter post yesterday saying that he isn't a "former Maverick" yet....... And Frankie has also told people recently that he doesn't want to drift very far from home. Will be interesting to see where he ends up. He makes his decision on Monday at 8 am.
  2. Ideally another PG that can run the offense and shoot it from 3. Then Hurlburt. That would be the most ideal situation for the last 2 scholarships in my opinion. Unsure how likely that is to work out though.
  3. We need to figure out our graphic situation. Not a good look.
  4. Anyone have any updates on Omot? I can't really find anything on him or what teams have even been in contact with him. At one point I thought I read that Georgetown was at the top of possible schools? Minnesota as well?
  5. Scholarship. And I would think so as well.
  6. TT was our third best shooter at 32%......
  7. Sorry. Didn't mean he would play on the wing. More so he has the ability to take slower players off the dribble in a pick & pop long closeout type situation. He's not strictly a back to the basket type of big guy. He has some skill that he can continue to be expanded on.
  8. A 6'11" big guy that would come in and be the 2nd best shooter on the team. Has solid skills with 3 years left of eligibility that he can expand on as he gets older. Could play on the wing and in the post at this level. To try say he doesn't offer anything because he averaged 2 MPG on a Pac 12 NCAA tournament team as a redshirt freshman coming from a Class B ND school is a bit absurd.
  9. The biggest thing will be the help with recruiting local talent! Need to find a way to land more local talent at UND He's also a great coach. Was doing some really good things at Mayville!
  10. Wow it sure seems like some people were wrong about Tyree and their tune has changed lol you literally cannot make it up. He sure had some people fooled....
  11. I don't think he was getting any of the available $$$ for grades here.....
  12. Bentiu being on staff gives us a leg up on everybody. I think it could happen as well.
  13. At least one of the BB announcers is going to tell them to kick rocks and just be done with them. Wouldn't surprise me if more will do the same thing.
  14. 100% correct on this. The staff needs to hit the portal HARD. Besides those 2 there is nobody else on the roster that can play and contribute anything next year if we want to compete at the top of the Summit.
  15. Midco kind of stinks not going to lie
  16. Thank you to ChatGPT for making the above post easier to read: "Let's take a look at the upcoming season in the Summit conference and compare our current standing with other teams in the conference. As it stands, the Summit conference is undergoing significant changes due to transfers both in and out of the conference. Most teams are in a major rebuilding phase, relying heavily on high school graduates or transfers. First, let's consider SDSU. They have a limited number of players on the bench and a group of redshirt freshmen coming in. Their coach's uncertain position adds to the challenge for next season. On the other hand, Kansas City (KC) has Jamar Brown and several other returning players, and Coach Menzies seems adept at building a strong team from the transfer portal, making them the strongest team in the Summit at the moment. UND retains Eaglestaff, King, Kuljuhovic, and Mayar from the past season but needs to fill the gaps left by Omot, Ihenacho, and Brooks. If they can find the talent to fill these positions, they could be contenders against KC. St. Thomas may be respectable, but the loss of graduating talent will test their depth and incoming talent. NDSU is facing challenges with the loss of several players. Richman, their coach, may need to rely heavily on the transfer portal to meet immediate needs and maintain team chemistry and performance standards. Denver has a solid core of returning players, but they'll need to compensate for the leadership and scoring provided by Brunner and Brenchley. Omaha is essentially in a rebuilding phase. Finally, South Dakota has a decent core to build around but will need to strengthen their frontcourt to compete effectively. They're likely tied with UND for the third preseason position in the conference. Overall, it seems highly probable that we'll see a new conference champion this year with so much transition and rebuilding happening across the Summit conference."
  17. Some really good points and observations!!
  18. You're spot on here! The thai chicken is very good!
  19. Yes, he certainly improved greatly from the first game to the last. I am just as much of a fan of Eli King as you are. He just isn't a PG. There was questions about this all of last off-season when he committed here and it was proven pretty quickly that some were correct that he isn't a PG. His improvement came when he finally was in his natural position and playing off the ball. The team also finally started to play well when we had an actual PG to run the show. I'm happy to have Eli and glad that he will be here next year. However, he needs to be playing primarily off the ball and we need to get an actual PG out of the portal.
  20. Did you watch any of the games when he was our starting PG? He’s just not a PG unfortunately. We need an actual PG out of the portal.
