I disagree.. what irks me about NIL is that athletes were whining for years... "i want to get paid for my likeness.. blah blah blah" Then, the NCAA allows it to happen...."Ok go make money off yourself." Now instead of the athlete going out and setting it all up and actually earning their money, they expect the coaches and booster clubs to set it up for them.... that's not what it was intended for. Just drives me nuts.

Yup, not a surprise... Not going to beat SDSU on kids... especially kids that are 6 miles away from Brookings.

They were one of the worst defensive teams in the country last year.... so I don't think he will be alone in needing to develop on defense. Our two oldest players, Nero and Sueker are our two worst defensive players. Jalun Trent should help us on that end. IMO, Treysen has a chance to be special offensively.

I hope you are all right about Sueker, I'm not as high on him.

Not @UND. I'm just pointing out that UND will probably never play a non league or exhibition against MSUM, Bemidji, Northern, Minot, Mary, Crookston, or any other NSIC team again.. So you might as well get over that or you are just going to be whining about the same thing every year.

It's not that they can't pull it off... It makes no sense for SD/ND schools to play the regional D2 schools... Why doesn't USD/SDSU play Northern or Augie? By playing those games you have a higher chance of losing and that isn't good for anyone, especially a team coming off one of their worst years ever. If you are going to play a NON D1, you play NAIA's or D3's because you schedule those games to get wins, not to sweat it out vs one of the top 50 D2 schools.

Because if you're going to play a Non D1 you want it to be against a team that has close to 0% chance of beating you.

So you the ND schools to agree on who to play, work out the right dates for everyone, who plays who first, etc...Then you want those schools to agree to play both ND schools and fit it into what they are looking for in their schedule? It's a great thought, and I'm sure it's something that they are trying to do, however it's a lot more complicated than everyone wants it to be.

There isn't one Power 5 school that will ever travel to UND..... just won't happen.... the reality is scheduling is extremely hard for UND.... not a lot of teams are dying to travel to Grand Forks for no pay day.... they could care less about the return home game... they would rather not make the trip at all.

The AD has nothing to do with timing of conference schedule, boss. That’s the league commissioner.
