  1. I look forward to seeing you turn it all around, miracle worker.
  2. UND needs to hire @HoopsFan03. Right person for the job, will turn this thing around in a year. College athletics is easy and anyone could do it, plus he supposedly has experience and was super successful. Put your name in pal!
  3. I have been a big backer of Sather and the staff... last night was embarrassing. There really wasn't anything to be positive about for 40 minutes. I'm sure he is just as disappointed as everyone else. Let's see if they can rebound from this. Last night was a big opportunity for the program to gain some traction with fans and deliver a much needed win against the bison who have been struggling... and they totally whiffed, players and coaches. Dang it!!
  4. Need this one. Time to beat these guys
  5. Which by the way has nothing to do with coaching. Our 5’s are very average.. probably below average. Need a skilled 5 next year
  6. Out 5 spot is concerning tonight
  7. It’s like T has no core strength at all? Just an absolute noodle
  8. Correct, with UST they might as well just play Levias and Sueker at the 5
  9. T looks like he’s never played basketball, WTF is going on with him?
  10. It appears as though we are cut from the same cloth then my friend.
  11. I never said he deserves an extension. (Although, I think he will get one because Bill Chaves has shown he will stick with coaches) He has this year and next year on his contract. You guys are acting like he needs to be fired right now. They are 5-7 with two true road wins in the non-league with a couple of other good showings with a brand new core of the team. They are playing 3 true freshman major minutes, and two other guys that haven't played D-1 basketball before in Levias and Trent. It took him 4 years at Black Hills State to get them to the Final 4, it took SEVEN years until his NSU team got to the National championship. I realize that there are some fans that think this program should be able to immediately be a top mid-major program with a snap of the finger and a new coach... What everyone needs to realize is that UND is a TOUGH place to get it going, they have no recent success other than 1 year with Hooker and Crandall in the BSC. They are fairly new to a conference that has been DOMINATED by NDSU and SDSU. It is going to take UND a little bit to get to that level. And what I'm saying to you is that by firing Coach Sather is only to going to push back the timeline. You are entitled to your opinion. I disagree with your opinion and believe you have no clue what happens on a day-to-day basis of running a program. Coach Sather is a good coach, and I will stand by that.
  12. I am not related to coach Sather or anyone else on staff. They just lost to a WAC team that is in the 70's net ranking- should they have won? Yes they definitely had their chances. FT and TO's lost the game in the 2nd half. They are trending in the right direction. Take a deep breath and go get a grinder at Red Pepper.
  13. You’re a clown. You’re a clown. You’re a clown also. Do you think it has anything to do with 1500 kids going into the portal every year right now? There’s your past data- college athletics isn’t the same as it was in 1980. The utter stupidity on some of you people is laughable.
  14. I am not his wife. I know him and the staff quite well. I just like to come on here and let you know that you consistently don't know what you're talking about. But you should keep listening to JJ Redick on how to coach. Last night, while not the result we wanted, was a step in the right direction. Jalun has found some spots where he can be aggressive, Brooks looks good. Rotation is still being worked out, I believe they are wanting some guys to take ownership of some roles. Our 5's were outmatched last night against a guy that is a HM type player. UND is improving and will be competitive in the league year. They are 5-6 in the non-league, I think at the beginning of the year, after last year, most fans would have taken a chance to be around .500 during the non-league. Relax.
  15. I can just tell you, based on facts, not on "stories" that this is 100% not true. Does he ever yell at guys? Ya, he's a coach, sometimes you need to raise your voice. Do guys ever run? Sure. Do they run until they puke? No. Does he ever go above and beyond either of those lines? No. Try again, fruit.
  16. Me thinks that the rotation will get trimmed up here very shortly.
  17. I would love to hear these "stories." And please expound on "Old Fashioned." Just curious.
  18. I predict a "coming out" game from Brooks tonight... (At least I hope)
  19. NDSU did what UND should have done. They limited possessions and grinded it out. Sure Portland played bad, but NDSU did what NDSU usually does... play really slow, muck it up and have a chance at the end. If UND continues to play Nero, Sueker, Eaglestaff a ton of minutes together, UND will not like what opposing teams do to them offensively. The path to success is to play Trent, Brooks, Norman, Omot, T, Brady, Mathews the majority of minutes and those other 3 can play 8-10 to provide a scoring pop. But they cannot be 20+ min guys. UND's personnel is built to play kind of an ugly style and try to win in the 60's. (see thanksgiving weekend)

  21. Yes, I watched the game. Inbounds plays were not the reason why they lost the game... and it wouldn't have been the reason they won the game if it had gone differently. If you think that this UND team, without any all conference players, picked 10th in the Summit league, is going to go on the road and beat the #23 team in the country, than I think you're probably never going to be happy watching UND basketball.
  22. You're right, it's coach Sather's fault that they didn't beat the team that just got done beating the #1 team in the country. Bad coach.
  23. Interesting game last night and interesting dynamic to watch on this team going forward. 1. PG position- to me the obvious choice is Trent, but man he does a lot of doy doy things offensively... Coach Sather also has a pretty quick hook on him right now.. but man can he change a game on the defensive end. Be more aggressive and score at the rim!!! 2. It looks like we have a 3 man rotation setting up at the 5 spot. T, Brian, and Mitch. If Mitch could hit a 3 with any consistency this would be great.. Last night he should have been able to get wide open looks at the top of the key and spread out 5's, but he can't hit a shot right now. Brian is bringing great energy on the defensive end, but leaves a lot to be desired when he has the ball in his hands. T is showing improvement which is great to see. 3. Rotation questions going forward are going to be interesting... who loses minutes???? If I had a vote, starters would be Trent, Norman, Omot, Levias, T- Bench would be Brian or Mitch at 5 depending on matchups, brooks, danielson, and eaglestaff..
  24. I don't think it's a bad thing for the team. Can he score a bit? Yes, when matchups are in his favor. Can he guard and rebound? No. He's below average at both of those. Is he a good passer? Not really. Ajahni brings more to the team in all those areas, except for maybe scoring.
