I believe he was Coach Sather's first offer when he got the UND job.. and he was the first to offer him any sort of scholarship when coach was at Northern.
-
Best bet is guys from MN, IA, Dakotas, WI... There will be guys from those areas in the portal this offseason, and if there is a connection, I'd bet they will be in contact to see what the situation is.
-
Yeah, Coach Sather is definitely in the same situation.....

While everyone wants to get a P5 transfer to UND, here is the reality for MOST transfers: 1. They want to get back closer to home- this is the location aspect that UND1983 was referring to 2. They have a close relationship with program, or players within program- i.e. Marlon Stewart, was high school teammates with Cortez Seales who was already at UND. 3. NIL- UND does not have a competitive NIL package. The biggest reality is, no matter who the head coach is at the end of the year... UND is not a desirable school for P5 transfers that CAN make an impact because of their current standing in college hoops. So, the better use of their resources is to try and get some of these JUCO guys and try to strike gold to be able to get to a point where they can get access to some P5 transfers. You have to walk before you run.

I can rationalize with rational people... people like Hoops and GoodGood aren't rational... so there's a wedge there.
-
You can't rationalize with HoopsFan, Ira....
-
In my experience.... no.
-
Also an intelligent response

NewUndFan, HoopsFan03, GoodGood- rinse, repeat

Correct. I would argue that UND needs to maybe take more 3's on Saturday... as crazy as that sounds.

Not injured. Just out of rotation.

I don’t disagree with either points. Brady makes so many “winning” plays that don’t show up in stat sheet think Elijah will get there, because he is definitely more talented than Brady. hopefully Elijah is going head to head vs Brady every day and will pick up on some things Brady brings. In the long run I would hope Elijah can be a border line all conference player

Think Brooks might end up taking some of Levias minutes… Brooks is basically Brady.. and Brady is shooting better from 3 this year. It’s just hard to put another non shooter on the floor with this group. Them getting Norman and Eaglestaff on the floor together definitely helps offensively, just need those guys to keep growing defensively. Which they did a solid job tonight i thought

Is GoodGood HoopsFan03??? Finkle is Einhorn?

Boy did they need this one to go their way. Good for them

Just need one bucket to get settled down right now

I don't think anyone is openly campaigning for him to get an extension right now... If anything people have voiced what they think Chaves is going to do. He extended Mallory after winning 1 or 2 games as the interim. He has shown a willingness to give coaches a long rope... maybe he does with Sather, maybe he doesn't. No one is sitting here that thinks a 20-30% winning percentage is good enough, we all understand that. You and a few others are campaigning for him to be fired right this instant, which is just not going to happen. Yes, results haven't materialized the way fans, coaches, players, administration, and alums want them to. Everyone is tired of hearing it, but it's the honest truth. This is a young team. They are trying to learn how to win conference games with vey inexperienced players. The experienced players have been bad this season, outside of Norman. AND they are arguably getting the absolute most out of Danielson that he can produce. Seasons can turn around on a dime with a couple good wins... what if they get a good win tonight? What if they knock off ORU on Saturday in the Betty? That COULD happen! Are the odds great to sweep this weekend? No, but it's college sports and a momentum swing, and confidence swing could be huge! Coach Sather is a good coach, no one can tell me different. He has proven that throughout his career, even if it wasn't at the almighty D1 level. He, undoubtedly has had a rough couple years at UND. I imagine he is taking that as hard as anyone, and he will take full responsibility. If anyone is exhausting any and all options to try and turn it would be him. I'm pulling for him and UND. If he gets fired at the end of the year because this trend continues, I see why that decision would be made. But your hopes and dreams of him being fired next Monday, are just not going to happen. I'm also sorry for having a bit of positivity today. Felt good.

Unless HoopsFan03 approves of them, I won't approve of any of them

Not a closed mind at all, just stating a fact
