He has averaged 20.1 mpg in his career. 26.3 mpg last year... that will not change this season, IMO.

Correct, we all understand that shooting is probably going to cost UND a couple games this year because there will be nights where they go 5-25 from 3. Where I think they will be better is scoring in transition and in the paint. Noone is arguing with you that shooting is a concern, because it is. Brady will play 20+ minutes a night, not because of his shooting or lack of shooting. He has a great feel on the court, he makes a ton of hustle plays, he makes the right play most of the time, and is no question the leader of this team. So yes, UND isn't going to play like they did last year where they hucked up 35+ 3's a night... they're going to have to run more and attack the basket in the full court and the half court and the 30% 3 point shooters are going to have to kick a few wide open 3's in a game. My guess is you see these 8 a lot assuming Tyree is ineligible Eli Brady Treysen BJ Elijah Deng T Amar It will be important for Trey to continue to shoot at a high percentage and the floor should open up if T can continue to pull 5's out.

You are arguing with yourself. I don’t think anyone wants Brady shooting a basketball after a dribble… i agree with you. there just aren’t many guys that can shoot a high percentage coming off screens, side step, step back 3’s… that’s just a fact. carry on

Generally speaking.... there are not many guys that are high level shooters off the dribble. Since you guys like synergy so much, you would know that most of the time, guards best play type based on Points Per Possession is Catch and shoot 3's. There aren't many guys in the Summit League, outside of maybe Mayo and McBride that you want shooting 3's off the dribble. So yes, I don't want Brady shooting 3's off the dribble because then he probably shoots 25% from 3 instead of 35%. I don't really want anyone of our guys shooting 3's off the dribble because it is a lower percentage shot.

I watched a few of the interviews, didn't get a chance to listen to Richman, Goodman and Dauster (?) just were flat out asking coaches about good players on their team and if they're worried about them transferring at the end of the year. I guess that's the world we live in where you can just flat out talk about it in October? I didn't like that and thought some of their questions were inappropriate, but I guess that's where we are.

Coach Sather just said with Goodman on field of 68 live stream that they haven't heard anything on Tyree yet. Strange.

Before everyone gets all fired up about having 4 non D-1's on the schedule- the WIU departure is the major culprit of that. Also is the Big Sky v Summit Challenge dead then??

I wonder if the Pentagon or Sioux Falls Sports Authority actually makes any money on these games.. you would assume they would have to, but it has to take quite a bit of money to get these teams there and then to only be able to sell 3-4K tickets for the game. REA could do that but would Grand Forks and surrounding areas sell out the Ralph to watch Baylor v. Gonzaga for hoops? I would hope they could but I'm not sure. In dream land if UND could land the Goophs at the Ralph, that would be an awesome atmosphere, which is exactly why they would never do it! I also don't think the UND athletic department would ever look at it with the scheduling and staff strain it would put on REA and UND during hockey season. Would be awesome to see, however.
