  1. Teams can play a total of 28 games + 3 games in a MTE (Multi team event) or 29 games +2 games in a multi team event. UND has 32 games on it's schedule (1 exhibition game and a 2 team MTE in Arkansas. SO that leaves 29 scheduled games. Minus 16 conference games, which leaves us at 13 games to schedule. Iowa- buy game probably in the neighborhood of 80-100K Elon- Home and Home from last season Pacific- home and home from last season CS Fullerton- home and home from last season UC Riverside- pairing a game with CS Fullerton road trip Portland- Home and home from last season Utah Tech- I believe this is year 4 or 5 of a 6 year contract for games after Utah Tech made the jump to D1- Nebraska- Buy game probably in the same neighborhood of the Iowa buy game amount Big Sky/Summit League Challenge- No Colorado and Northern AZ- scheduled by the AD's and conference Commissioners. Then you have the 3 Non D1 games- let's look at potential reasons why: Nov. 16 vs. VCSU- first two games are @ Iowa and home vs Elon- and then 3 in a row @ Pacific and in Arkansas- need to schedule a home game with a good chance of winning- You're not going to be able to pay another "Like conference" opponent to travel for a one and done on a Thursday. Nov. 28 vs Concordia- coming off the 3 game road stretch- Need a home game to avoid playing 5 games straight on the road. Need a winnable game in case the 3 game road trip doesn't go well. Dec. 12 vs. Waldorf- Finals week- schedule with former UND alum Nigel Jenkins- get a 2nd home game for finals week and not go on the road. Most other schools are in finals this week also and are looking to stay at home or close to home. These schedules are made 2-3 years in advance with planning around yourself and 340+ other schools.. it's not just simple and easy to call Ben Jacobsen or Tim Miles and say "hey come up on December 5th and play a game vs us" I can guarantee you that UND tries to play good regional teams or other mid majors that may have a connection to this region, but it takes 2 staffs, and 2 ad's to agree for a game, and the financial piece is always there as well.
  2. Rent is due boys… I’m tired of it being free
  3. Sure, whether he plays the 5 or the 4 he’s still taking the same shots and doing the same thing
  4. Until T pulls his head out of his ass- offense will sputter at times in almost every game
  5. Coach Sather just took one of those magical timeouts- let’s see if it works
  6. No school in the country would willingly play conference opponents 4 times during the year. That's just idiotic. The only reason the Dakota schools did it the one time when they all played in Sioux Falls was because of COVID and they needed to find games.
  7. It appears as though that’s exactly what they did with this game.
  8. In essence you’re correct. When Augie was number 1 in the country i don’t think D1s were banging in the doors begging to play them so that they could play better competition. same with northern when they had their little run- no one in this region was gonna schedule them from a D1 standpoint if you’re gonna schedule a non D1 you’re going to schedule a guarantee win- I’ve had to say that over and over again and i don’t know why that’s a hard concept to grasp
  9. Not an argument from my standpoint- questions were asked- i gave the insight as to why college programs schedule the way they do- it’s something literally every low to mid major school does
  10. Are any of those teams considered to be worth a damn in the NSIC??? that’s my point.
  11. So why doesn’t NDSU and SDSU play Northern State? Why doesn’t USD play Augie and Sioux Falls? Why won’t Omaha play Kearney and Wayne????
  12. There are very very few mid to low major D1 programs that could pay to have a schedule filling all of their non league home games with other D1s.
  13. Why doesn’t Duke just schedule non league games with UNC, NC state, and Virginia???
  14. Found a way to win, good for the good guys. Deng appears to be in the doghouse??
  15. As bad as they’ve played it’s actually kinda encouraging that they’re even in this game
  16. Yup- could be up by more, could be down by a lot more- clean some things up and get outta Stockton with a W
  17. Even now that they’ve gone to more CF coverage their tags are way late turnovers an issue too… need to end the half on a lil run
