They were not on the same page that is for sure. players would buy in/play harder for him. But at this point, a total reset is needed.

An observation….. Bookend losses (start/end of season) by UND, to a former player (Ferner/Augie asst) and an active player (Constantini) whom were both told they were no longer welcome to be part of UND hockey.

I don’t believe so. Things inside the walls of the Ralph are worse than most realize. Time for a complete reset.

Hearing UNO only bringing back 5 players from this years roster, into next season. Going heavy CHL/portal. If in fact the case, how sad for the kids who thought they’d be there for 4 years. And what a bad look on the coaching staff……..

Predictions…… Berry retained one more year, KG let go, a CHL coach is hired to replace KG. And I’m not so sure Simpson was a good hire based on his lack of coaching experience and the on ice defensive results this year. So maybe he goes as well ? I get the vibe that Jackson would be a more respected head coach than current one amongst not only the current roster, but past players as well. How much more are the alumni/donors going to put up with current situation is the question, before Chaves has an angry army that he can’t ignore any longer…. Also, Hail to the Vicotors becomes new fight song for one or more on the current UND roster.

Anyone have the clip of the pre-season presser where players and Berry talked about “tired of hanging white banners, time to hang a green banner” ( or words along that line). That might be my biggest frustration of the season. A public statement by the HC, and some already knowing that there was internal issues before season even started. Hence, the season we have witnessed. My point is, Berry so far removed from what actually goes on inside the lockeroom, that he had notion this team was a National contender. This clip needs to be sent to ADs office for replay and serious reflection needed as to how to move this thing forward. Preferably with a new HC.

Head Coach can spin it any way he wants, the players did not pick 27 to be captain. You can take that to the bank. 27 has had off ice issues with becoming “friendly” with others, whom he should not have been friendly with, since he arrived on campus.

I am starting the over/under UND portal entries at 6. Lots of chatter within hockey world things are completely broken. And……..it all started with naming of 27 as captain and the emergence of the divided locker room. “Touchy” subject I know, but facts are the facts.

I believe his hands are tied due to his boss not allowing him try different things/give input. My guess is kids would respond better to Jackson at this point if he was in charge. Hak and him were very good together. Makes a guy wonder.

If Berry somehow hangs onto his job, KG has to go. Subpar recruiting and suspect goalie play over last few years. Prior to Simpson, also the d coach, which is another story. I also question paying Simpson $100k/year with zero coaching experience. My eyes see a young guy with playing experience, maybe having a tough time communicating the coaching side.

Admit it. This program is in dire straits at the moment. No one afraid to play this team right now. Attitude reflects leadership….

The locker room vibe has a direct reflection to what the on ice product. It all starts at the top with the HC. You can’t expect 100% buy in delivering the same narrative and getting mediocre results. Having four players wearing letters and all having little to no impact, game after game, makes it very tough for others to follow them to battle. Attitude reflects leadership…….

He is one, yes that has been offered big cash.

Two players from CHL rumored to have been offered 7 figures. The power five schools have the money for these situations. It is real and will have a huge impact on smaller schools (D2 w/D1 hockey) in the very near future!

……..that doesn’t mean it converts automatically to quality leadership. It has been a divided locker room all year.
