Some North Dakota snowbirds in the Phoenix area are heading in different directions to a FB game on Saturday.
UND vs NAU Lumberjacks (Big Sky) in Flagstaff at 1:00
NDSU vs Arizona Wildcats (Pac-12) in Tucson at 8:00

Last season, the Wildcats, which closed as a 27-point favorite against NAU, lost 21-19 to their FCS in-state foe on Saturday night (9-18-21) at Arizona Stadium.

Can snowbirds be snowbirds this early?

39 yards and put in a place where only Belquist could get.  That was a money throw.

He made a few money throws especially on 3rd down. He was tossing balls that when they left his hand, I wondered where it was going and then a receiver would come into play and make the catch.

He was a great QB today.

I don't think you and I have ever agreed on this much concerning UND football...ever!  Haha...

Agree on Skokna and I'm not dogging him at all as a person...he's a solid special teams asset (a role that is losing value due to rule changes and emphasis)..but we seem to have others that can fill his role (Red Wilson...also where has Creighton Mitchell gone?).  I just never saw Skokna take that next step as a player over the course of his career here...

I agree with all of this including the part about agreeing with UND FB Fan :)

Nebraska played deep coverage the whole game knowing we cant throw it deep. Between that and their D line pressure the took away and deep throws and gave us the short passes. What QB on our roster is going to overcome that with our young Oline? Which QB was the best to play based on what the defense was giving us? Tommy played well for what we were trying and able to do well.

I agree with most of this, but why play deep coverage is they know we can't throw it deep? Wouldn't they want to be in the intermediate areas instead?

Yes, t wouldn’t mind romfo taking a snap or two and run the ball

But, but, the running QB is Qunicy and he's supposed to be the NEXT BIG THING and we are supposed to let him run the ball . Remember?

Name me a better option at QB for this team going into Saturday's game if it's not Tommy?

.....the correct answer is there isn't one.

You're right, but in the history of sports, no one is more popular than the backup QB.

Though, the illusory, imaginary great Coach willing to take over the team is way up there too.
