The boys blocked 23 shots tonight!! This blue collar lunch pail crew believe in themselves and each other. We are truly blessed with the coaching staff and the character of this team.
Was at tonight's game. Just so much lunch bucket guys doing all the little things that leads to W's. Most of my time watching UND hockey has been to watch Parise, Toews, Patrick and the other stars. Tonight: No stars just a great TEAM.

The minute our season ends, Sanderson will be on his way to Ottawa. We are lucky to get a partial second year out of him. Hopefully we can make a run and have some more memories before he takes his game to the next level.
Was watching NHL channel this week and the focus was Ottawa. Commentators said that as soon as ND's season is over, Sanderson is joining them and he will be a top 4 DMan for them.

Remember when half this board was almost jumping off a ledge after the Penn State loss? Ah, good times.

But Midwest crazy, not Philly crazy, right?

Got a punter this morning. Luke Silvernale from Michigan.
I'm not smart enough to drag the Tweet.

Loved the UND chat.
He mentions a "great offensive line." Was that the last time a QB felt that way?
There's a suggestion of "outside pressure" to rid the team of Mussman and insinuates that the "Forum" may have had some influence in that. I hope to God that is NOT TRUE today. We do not know what we are talking about most of the time.
He said GF was a great town to party at so UND has that going for it.
I'm a bit upset that he suggests that ND is about 10 years behind the world on everything. I would say more about this, but I'm heading out to watch the new movie in town about a struggling boxer called Rocky.

More than a few guys weren't wearing sleeveless shirts, they likely won't be strong enough to play at the FCS level next fall. Some of the guys who play offensive positions weren't clean shaven and will need to get moved to the defensive side of the ball if we expect them to amount to anything. There was also an interesting choice in footwear by some of players... I'll provide a break down of what that means in a future post.
Please keep these coming. I need to know who I should and shouldn't cheer for.

It's my understanding the main motivation for Rouse to head to California is that he's from California. I suppose money, as always, played into it, but I do not believe it's the main reason he left.

One thing I notice in this picture is Trey Feeney is right there in the front row. Doesn’t mean he’s going to be a good QB but shows me he has some leadership qualities. Another thing I notice is, I believe Tommy is in the back row (I could be wrong so please correct me if so). Now I’m a Tommy guy and think he gets some undeserved hate but I think it says something.
I wonder if Tommy sits in the back row at class?
Does he welcome everyone to his table when they eat lunch?
Can we learn about his leadership by checking his grades in business classes?
When he crosses University Ave does he help other students and the elderly?
Does he volunteer at the Humane Society?
Now those things show leadership!

Saw my first game yesterday. Very impressed. Need to prevent the 4-5 possessions in a row without a point though.
Great fan support starting with the football dudes really having a good time and getting loud.

Need to pay assistant coaches better. Listing reports less than 50k salary - ridiculous for a DI program. UND football pays their assistants like horseshit. UND needs to get serious about football or else will be constant revolving door.
I agree but I also recall golfing in the Siouxper Swing with Rob Bollinger who wisely noted “You know you have a great job when you can wear shorts to work most days.”

Romfo: First Blood Part II
Now that's a good one!

Kelly Howe reports that Hunter Hansen from NSU, LB, is a walk on joining the team as is Grant Romfo from Langon via NDSU. Romfo is likely a WR.

Ouch! I was never able to get to the 75% percent vote mark to get in. Got to 72% only . Honorable mention. Curious to hear your thoughts on who'd be HOF, though hahaha
Thanks buddy.... I did my best
What list you talking about?
Here's what Schloss has about the newest rankings. Looks like James could go third round, maybe second. I don't mind this class especially Strinden being a late riser.
You would have had the necessary votes, but for the whole PEDs allegations.

How many years have there been 3 legit contenders in the last 21 years of FBS football? In can come up with that one Auburn team from like 2003 or so as a legit third team.
Until this year, there were arguments on behalf of teams that didn't make the final four.
Clemson had a run winning 2 of 3.

I’ve never been behind the idea that the only purpose of a tournament is to declare a champion. I find just as much interest in matchups along the way.
Take March Madness as an example. Of course, crowning a champion is ultimately the purpose, but look at the teams that claim multiple sweet 16 finishes, Elite 8 finishes, Final Four appearances. The romanticism that comes from a small school lining up against a big school, regardless of outcome.
I think college football has always missed this point. They’ve only ever cared about one thing, who’s the best. They miss half the equation with this line of thinking IMO.
I want a 12 team playoff for the reasons you suggest. If ONE underdog wins in the first round it's the sports news biggest story for the whole week and the beauty of it is, it's very possible.
But I disagree that the only thing the NCAA cares about is "who's the best."
The NCAA cares ONLY about money and a 12 team playoff makes more money than a 4 team.- 1

Yes...if a "terrible coach" can do that, well...ummm...he's not terrible.
