  1. This is really enjoyable for the first time in years that we are headed to the next round!
  2. It’s not trolling this is simply reality. Grand Forks is not a desirable place to recruit or coach. Sorry to the people who think it’s the promised land but take off your tinted glasses it’s not a good place to live in comparison to 99% of the US
  3. There are worse places to live than Grand Forks. But not many
  4. Or maybe good coaching candidates aren’t interested in coming to Grand Forks? Sorry but you’re making Grand Forks out to be desirable to live for coaches and athletes but the hiring of quality candidates doesn’t seem to happen and that is geography along with the bad AD. You have rose tinted glasses.
  5. I know I’m in the minority here but unfortunately for UND that Grand Forks simply isn’t a desirable place to live while in college. You can dispute this as much as you want but hockey aside the college isn’t relevant. Feel free to keep the rose tinted glasses on.
  6. Look over the years since UND transitioned to Division I how many big hires have happened? Hockey are having a good year is it record setting? Football same it’s a step in the right direction but body of work too small. Sorry to p!!s on your parade but Grand Forks is not a desirable location for coaches of athletes.
  7. Not disagreeing but at the same time Grand Forks isn’t a desirable place for coaches why do you think we ended up with Stevens in softball when he wouldn’t get another job in the country most likely, and coaches have made comments about how difficult it is to recruit to UND.
  8. Ask Chaves
  9. Sorry but Fargo is a way better place the GF, and Brookings is South and a little warmer. GF is by far the worst location.
  10. Are you surprised Chaves didn’t tell the truth to the fans? But let’s be realistic the only way UND has a consistent chance at the top is to outspend others, people aren’t lining up to live in Grand Forks.
  11. Great year. We should be happy to be relevant.
  12. But he posts great things on X all the time about culture and recruiting he must be the real deal
  13. So is this disastrous season down to a coach who spent more time advertising their culture in the offseason, simply being in over their head, or the realization that Grand Forks is the hardest place to recruit to in the Summit?
  14. This thread has been quiet
  15. It’s what you would expect for a team that plays in Grand Forks. UND is the bottom feeder in the Summit League.
