Good start to the second period is rewarded with a powerplay. Hopefully the Sioux can get that three goal cushion back.

Believe this is the last trip to Anchorage, at least as a member of the WCHA. Brad talked about it a bit on his blog.

Good post. Extremely realistic results. Hopefully the Sioux are able to get a sweep in one of those likely split series, or three of four.

I'm not a huge fan of the goal celebrations in the video, but then again you've got to let a kid be a kid, and enjoy playing the game. Can't stand jersey popping at all.....leave that to the NBA....or gopher hockey.

Not one of Mario's best weekends on the ice, but you've got to give him credit for rallying the troops and getting them ready to go. McMillan-Parks-O'Donnell line has all the makings of becoming a Pony Express line if they are all around for four years. Good chemistry with the puck coming out of the zone.

PS: The Johnson kid and the LaDue kid are great hockey players. In no way do I believe that Vaaler insurance has anything to do with them playing for the Sioux in the future. Just pointing out that every university has had their Willy Marvin at some point in time.
