You could definitely call benching Kozek and Trupp a very gutsy move on Hak's behalf. I couldn't believe you take those two guys out of the lineup after last night. I can see where you'd put Trupp up in the press box, but at least Kozek had some chances last night and put himself in some positions to be successful. Either way, Hak got the performance that he wanted tonight and the Sioux get a much needed win. It seems like every time I get down on Hak when he does something questionable the team comes through in the clutch. I'll quit doubting him, and let him lead the team to another frozen four.

I think for the first time this year, last night and tonight, we saw Eidsness play with a little bit of a swagger. And in goaltending swagger=confidence. I had all the faith in the world with Parise and Lamoureax in the net because of the way they went about their business, I think Brad took a couple of steps forward tonight and really gives Hak no other choice but to make him the starter from here on out in the league games. Keep pressing him though Walski!

After watching the replay of the Duncan goal and seeing Hextall go hard to the net and hit the guy, all I have to say is........ THAT WAS A FIVE MINUTE MAJOR ADAM?? You have got to be kidding me....that was a horrendous call...no doubt about it....

Boy its scary to hear about all of the injuries. Just a typical week in the WCHA though I suppose. Playing without your top two defenseman, losing a top line player on a STUPID call, having a lot of guys playing nicked up, with a Freshman goaltender, to play that close of a hockey game with the #1 team in the country......I'm very proud to be a fighting sioux fan tonight. Great effort fellas! I wish I could have heard TH on the radio tonight. I bet it was classic.....

Once again Don Adam doesn't surprise me with his making it up as he goes along. UND is shorthanded to begin with and he decides UND needs one less forward as well..... The guy needs to lose his job... Time left???

Gosh, I absolutely love to watch those old Sioux hockey clips. If anyone has any more of those I would love to see them on Youtube. I'd love to see some highlights from the 97 national championship in Milwaukee or other old footage. Thank you to those of you who take your time to put those on the net. I really admire the Denver hockey program (mostly Gwoz) for honoring the kid's scholarship. Too often we hear of young athletes who end their careers and then really have nothing to fall back on. Although you hate to hear that he's done playing hockey, he's got a great opportunity to succeed in the future because of where he's going.

I know he's a grown guy and all but I feel horrible for Lamoureax. The last game that he'll ever wear a UND uniform and its probably the worst any of us have seen him play. I can never remember him giving up this many soft goals, but then again after BC popped in two goals the UND effort has been pretty flat. I know we expect these guys to have heart and play hard 100 percent of the time, but when you're getting outplayed/outworked/outeverything its tough to find that extra gear. Thanks to this years Sioux team for a tremendous hockey season. Watching this team was a lot of fun, and I'll hate the next couple of weeks when we start seeing the early departures take place. I sure as heck hope Chorney is okay. Took a pretty bad knee on that play.

I'll be in Fargo on Sunday, and I'm wondering about possible bars or restaurants that would have ESPNU? If the Sioux are lucky enough to be playing on Sunday it would be nice to be able to watch them and some other regional games as well. Thanks

The one thing that worries me about this weekend is that the Gophers haven't scored many goals of late and are almost a ticking time bomb to have a great offensive night one of these games. Being at home, playing one of their top rivals, just adds to the equation. Its not like the gophers have been horrible the past couple of weeks. They took three of four in Duluth and could have easily split with a Bucky team that is playing inspired hockey. Their goaltending is much better with Kangas, and they aren't giving up a whole lot defensively either in front of Kangas. I'm hoping for a split. Get the two points, get back to the cities in March.

Whats really interesting about this season is after UND finishes off this win they will be in third place in the WCHA..... With a 7-7 league record. I love how UND wins on Friday at home, loses Saturday. On the road....loses Friday, plays some of their best games of the year on Saturday..... 6-2 Sioux. Completely dominating play. If they wouldn't take so many penalties they could be up 10-2. Stay out of the box fellas....

I know this is late, but what an absolutley HORRIBLE call on that long Grand Valley pass completion. I mean they are shoving it down our throats the way it is, but that cost UND 7 points. First of all the receiver stepped out of bounds and then the ball juggled free when he hit the ground...... It means nothing if UND is shutout, but thats a momentum play right there that the official looked stupid on.

Has anyone called Midco and checked if we will possibly be getting the game back? If not, I guess I could be that guy....

I just want to add Brian that Anthony Greico is the best goalie ever. And Phil sucks. Why on earth UND went with an experienced goaltender instead of a kid that gave up five to anchorage and mankato is beyong me....

I see UND winning a close hard fought football game. Hopefully not a lot of the USD faithful will show up to the game because of the lack of importance on their behalf. I think we'll see a lot of Sioux fans make the trip and help the team get off on the right foot. The last time UND was down there they got off to just a horrific start and that cost them the football game. I think they'd given up something like 21 points in the first quarter....uggghhh. Primarily lets hope nobody gets hurt in this one. We need everybody for the playoff run. The game is on TV where I live, and I've got a coaching clinic in the morning, so I won't be able to attend. But I'll be cheering for them on TV!

Once again the Sioux kind of fell apart in the second period with a lot of penalties. I think four total penalties in the second period...so roughly half the period in the box... A couple of things: -I'm seriously tired of watching Martens do nothing on the ice. -Lamoureax has been great all year, and by no means was this his fault. But he needs to keep his head late in the third and not take that penalty. -Marto was okay tonight. Made some Freshman mistakes, but I think he makes a difference on the ice. It'd be nice to see him take Martens spot up on a forward line. That way Jones stays in the lineup. -CC is a quality hockey club, and did everything they needed to do to win on the road. Survive the first period with great goaltending, get some bounces to get a lead, and then play a great defensive period in the third to close out the win on the road. Sweatt is an amazing player. Wow can that guy move his feet. Theres a guy that could be in the NHL upon conclusion of the NCAA season. Boy is he fun to watch.. The Sioux have started out 2-2 in the WCHA, but I think they've played two quality hockey clubs in the process.

Its great to see that SCSU is playing UND in football next season. Although it will hurt them in the end more than it will help them it just goes to show the type of person that Coach Hedberg is, in possibly helping out a University that helped him get to where he is now career wise. Thanks coach! Reading the GF herald today it sounds like SCSU is more banged up than the Sioux. No wide receivers, back up QB's......and their defense is on the field a lot. No excuse to lose this game...whatsoever.

I have a lot of respect for Coach Hedberg, but this is a game that UND absolutely needs to win. They have much more talent than SCSU, and really they should be up by a couple of touchdowns at the half. Hopefully no one is looking by this game on to next week in Vermillion, but I'm sure Lennon won't let that happen. Tomorrow night in Omaha we have a HUGE game between South Dakota and Omaha. If South Dakota loses you can basically stick a fork in their season. They have a ton to gain by winning the game. If they upset the Mavs that makes the last two games all the more important for UND.

Big win for the Sioux today. If they win next week at home against SCSU it basically assures them of a playoff spot. They win out and there is an outside shot that they could possibly finish in the top two if one of those teams stumbles. One game at a time for the boys, well done guys!

Ohh Radke....He's just a tough nosed Canadian hockey player. I read somewhere once...Radke is Canada! I think UND needed a loss. Lots of articles about them in the papers, and this will knock them off the pedestal a little bit. I really don't think they played that well this game, and still had a chance to win, which is a little bit reassuring. The last five minutes it sounded like they turned it on and finally put some pressure on the Tech trap and got some pucks to the net. Lamoureax gave up a goal...albeit two! SIEVE!! So when does the first person come out calling for Hak's job?

Much like the Mankato game this game has me worried. The UMD QB is a pretty good athlete, and although UND got to him last year and has had success against him he'll be playing on his home field and we all know how that went for UND's defense against Western Washington and Mankato. The key to this one is ball control. Long sustained drives with Chappel and company taking a lot of time off the clock would be my idea of how to win this game, but then again with guys like Dressler and Chappel UND can score from anyspot on the field...at any time... I'll say UND 42 UMD 38 High scoring affair.

I'd also like to offer congrats to NDSU for the win. Like PCM said the score didn't reflect the game last year and this year was a little bit of redemption for them. The Bison proved that they are a much better football team than Minnesota, who is hands down one of the worst DI teams in the land. The gophers should be 0-8 as they should have lost that OT game to Miami of Ohio or whoever it was they beat in OT. Tim Brewster might as well be a used car salesman. I don't think he'll win any recruiting battles after this one. Congrats again to NDSU, although you guys should have won by three touchdowns...
