Williston is going to hurt for a few years. The one bantam team plays a B1 schedule, but would get absolutely murdered by an A team from Minot or Bismarck. Pee Wee group has two teams, with an A team playing an A schedule. I'm betting within three years Hazen is playing junior gold. I'm sure you've got politics galore after 24-1 happened....

Way way way too easy who makes the state tournament prediction: East locks: Central, RR, Devils lake, Davies West almost all locks: Bismarck, Minot, Century, Dickinson Other teams with a shot: Jamestown, South/Stanley. That's it, no other teams with a prayer sadly.

I didn't want to believe it was over until after Walsh skated off the ice. Gornall could have gotten unsportsmanlike conduct for that game winner, and let's not put it outside the realm of Walsh to call that penalty.

Tim Walsh hates UND. He is a terrible official. You can't honestly be that terrible. I thought Stecher was going to cross check the guy last year at the NCHC tournament.

Minot beat Dickinson 6-4. Looks like Minot will get number two seed in West. Williston beat Mandan 3-0 in the battle of teams with so little numbers they don't have JV teams.

That game surprises the heck out of me. Century out shoots Davies too.....wonder what happened there.

I'm at an utter loss right now with Wolanin. Starman even pointed out how shaky he was with the puck and it was only THE FIRST PERIOD..... He is so skilled.....great skater, can get pucks through from the point.....tremendous transition guy, and this year has just been a broken record of mishandled pucks at the line, turnovers, and poor play in his end.

Century beat Davies 4-2, a night after losing to Jamestown. Could see a western sweep this weekend, I don't see Bismarck High losing to either Davies or South at home.

I think that's the only way to beat Central. At the same time you can't put them on the power play so you have to toe the line, which isn't the easiest thing with high school kids. If Johnson got a fighting major he is out for a game. If he just got a misconduct he can return Saturday.

Both GF schools struggle, but DL is a tough place to play, and it looks like RR went through the motions before scoring in the third against North.

From what I took from the conversation the answer is yes. Though this is just from one person. Very unfortunate.

Talked to a guy I know in the hockey community there and it is an absolutely terrible situation. It's getting to the point where the coaches have to be in the room with the kids 100 percent of the time.

Central is just a buzz saw. I want Grant Johnson to end up at UND. Local kid that can put up points. Get him a jersey after a few years in the USHL.

If Central had Lund they are hands down the state champs. Only teams with a prayer are Bismarck and Red River. I know Red River rolled Bismarck, but the next day Bismarck almost knocked off Central. Im thinking we see an all GF final at scheels arena. Not a bold prediction at all though.

Not an excuse for Boeser, but he clearly isn't 100 percent. His doesn't have near the control or the velocity on his shot that he did last year or earlier this season. Berry hinted post game he is still bugged a bit by something. Or maybe Drake and Schmaltz were that good.....
