Is using personnel that will challenge the opposing defense and create mismatches allowed? Our tackling on defense cant get worse. Backup QB.....bring the heat, but dont let guys hurdle you and go 70 yards.....

Just watch the safety on that TD play. Bad call or not by Schmidt that DI safety has got to make that tackle. Defense wasn't good, offense wasn't good. Collection of plays on all sides cost them the game. And yes, we are all very hard on Rudy.

I agree. Tackling was very poor today, which showed on that winning TD, and other plays.

I'm talking the second player who came in and the guy hurdled because he tried to go low. Just watched the replay. Our guy stands him up and it's a big gain, not a TD because the guy just hurdled him.

If the kid makes the tackle like he's supposed to that play only goes for ten yards.

After the second half against SHSU, I can give Schmidt a bit longer of a leash than Rudy. Defense wasn't good in stretches today, but it ain't close to the offensive issues this team has. How will it get better next year without Santiago and Brady? Guess it can't get much worse.

We aren't going to be relevant in FB until we get a coordinator that has a clue. Bubba lives and dies with Rudy, so that's what we are stuck with. Bubba is the coach as long as he wants to be. Nice guy, works hard, old folks love him, speaks nice at the luncheons, connections inside UND, they will never fire him. For God sakes Bubba.....please get a new coordinator....please.
