UND can still be a 1 seed if they lose to Omaha. But it will take a lot.

This 100%. Where Bubba has taken the program and the struggles that we've seen over his tenure at UND......and we are currently a top 20 program in the FCS.... Winning 7 games, getting to the playoffs, then bowing out right away.....top 20....

I think UND should just win the Frozen Faceoff to leave no doubt regarding the #1 seed.
I just found out that we can lose and still be a #1 if Bemidji State and Michigan win their conference tournaments. And BU/BC/Umass would need to win Hockey East.
So we are not black bear fans. Only if we lose though.
Edit* Also need Dartmouth to lose.

With Omaha being the host they are automatically in Sioux Falls correct?
At the end of the weekend if they are in that 10-12 range that would make them a 3 seed in Sioux Falls.
If UND is a 2 seed then it's "do we want an inter conference first round matchup".
Going to depend on how many NCHC teams.

I assume a goalie as well as Thiessen looks to be out of eligibility.
Wonder if Biondi is thinking Northern Michigan with the family connection he will have there.

So in my home with a sick kid spare time play around with PWR I found that this weekend:
-Omaha, enjoy St. Paul, then Sioux Falls.
-UND needs to win Friday to get a #1. Even if Sparty wins Saturday, winning Friday locks it in.
-Denver needs 2 wins to assure a 1. But if Michigan wins/any Maine loss they are still a 1 seed with a loss. You aren't Spartan fans at all, or black bears fans.
-If you are CC, you don't want St. Cloud to win Friday night. And death to St. Lawrence, Dartmouth, and Cornell. If SCSU does they can't win Saturday and no other upsets.
-If you are SCSU you need a win Friday. Saturday would be good too, but if you don't, you'd need Cornell to lose at some point. It's to your liking if Omaha doesn't win the NCHC, but if they do, Maine can save you by winning hockey east.
-If you are Western Michigan, you really can't have St. Lawrence, UMass, and SCSU win their conference tournament. You are fans of North Dakota, BU, BC, Denver, and the Q.

Ciskie of all people posted this. That game was a gong show, with Duluth winning the game on a late 5x3 goal.
Official Todd Anderson should have tossed Pionk and should have tossed Dominic Toninato for abuse of officials. First time in a non fight situation I've seen a linesman have to restrain a player, albeit a captain.

Agreed. I think they'll need a bridge splitting time goalie for next season while Hedquist gradually becomes the #1 guy.

Omaha playing for their season for two weeks. After that loss Friday I had written them off, but as good teams do they found a way.
I hope our guys can match their intensity on Friday. That was lacking the last time they played.
