Real Sports did a segmant on the Hoyts last season. They were saying that Dick was finishing triathalons in record times pulling, pushing and riding with Rick on the front of his bike, and they wondered what kind of times he could finish in if he wasn't doing all that extra work. To him, that was not an option. They also said that when Rick got his first computer that made him able to communicate, they were watching a NHL game and he said, "Go Bruins." That's when Dick realized that his son loved sports. Really a touching story of the human spirit and the bond between a father and son.

There are WWI, WWII, Vietnam, Korea, Desert Storm etc. veterens out there who have endured way more in their lifetimes than farm chemicals and they don't go out and commit premeditated rape and murder......for cripes sake. Cry me a river. Too bad Alphonso wasn't a miscarriage. Yeah, that's right HockeyMom, tell us how you really feel.

I have a signed Kleinsasser card from the Senior Bowl with his Sioux helmet on. *throws it in the resin* Wouldn't that make the whole bar more valuble? I kid.....I kid.

Okay, I have a nickel......not sure if it's from 1937, but the person that's giving it to me has several and they are going to look for one. This is kinda fun.

That would be a great idea! I'm gonna find an old one and put it in the resin so that it's standing up and you can see both sides of it. Of course the buffalo side will be facing the wall so you see the Sioux head when you are standing in front of it.

We're building a u-shaped custom bar to go into a new addition on our house, and we are going to make it a Sioux bar.....we're going to throw old ticket stubs, memorabilia, hockey pucks, key chains, pictures, Coke bottles- ones from opening night at The Ralph and the Football National Championship, old programs, etc. into the resin. What I'm looking for is ideas of things to throw in there. We're hoping this becomes a gathering place to watch football and hockey games and so on......what we want is a unique piece that any Sioux fan would want in their house...... Throw some ideas my way.....

It makes me ill to think about cheering on the Gophers in any sport. My brother went to NDSU- and as the final buzzer sounded yesterday, my phone rang and it was him calling to tell me how excited he was that the Sioux had won yesterday.

I'm gonna miss the game......

I hope NDSU has a good day against the Gophers. I'd pick the small North Dakota School-with some local talent on it anyday over the Goofs.

I seem to remember an NDSU program that won the 13 games in a row before that 10-3 run began. Last night when I went out and was talking to Bison fans about the game, they all had respectful things to say about our program- which doesn't happen very often. Just say thanks and move on. Yesterday was a great day for ALL football fans in North Dakota.

That's right exposed for a team that can not only hang in there with, but also beat one of the top teams in DI-AA.

We ended up listening to the final five minutes of the game in the Paradiso parking lot......I'm sure someone heard our screaming coming from the inside the car and wondered wtf was up. Kudos to the Sioux for a big win that proves that we are ready for that move to D1-AA. Bring on the Bison baby!!!!!!!

They did have the interlocking ND as a window cling in the Sioux Shop at Engelstad a while back........might not stick to the helmet very well, but that's what God created Super Glue for. You could also check with where UND gets their helmets at........if you wanted to do some investigative work.......they may have extra stickers. I did find the leftover numbers from UND for the kids' hockey helmets at Play It Again last year. They didn't have a price on them but I picked up a couple sheets with only a few numbers missing, for a dollar. The guy that sold them to me said that UND just gave them to the store. *writes down kelly green spray paint as one of the things to pick up in Forks this afternoon*

Lol- That's an optimistic outlook for the season already.

It would have been really funny to see the reactions of people driving and walking by.

I guess I don't care as long as he is sentenced to death. Or dies at the hands of another prisoner with nothing to lose. Maybe choking on something that was put in his throat by taking the long way there. I'm all for the deterrance created when someone dies by lethal injection. Sentencing someone to die could actually save someone else's life-if the person thinking about committing the crime doesn't do it, because they see they could end up dying for it. If that makes any sense.
