I totally agree, ISU was very nervous this last month. They could have easily been a school without a BCS conference. Texas I believe has at least 3-4x the Athletic budget that ISU can offer.

It would have been interesting if the Big 12 would have imploded......Nobody wanted ISU....?

I favor keeping and honoring the Fighting Sioux logo and nickname. The admission to the Summit is not the reason this agenda is being pushed through, it's just the latest excuse the State and Administration is using. (imo)

I also think this has a lot less to do with the Summit League then everyone thinks, the Summit addmission is just a easy excuse to use for the lack of State and Administrative support to push the retire the name and logo agenda through.

We are transitioning to better days we all hope, the transition will take longer than anyone expects.....

If Sports at all levels in today's world, has taught me anything......There are no easy WINS....

I drank a beer or two in the Galaxy, liked the shag carpet on the walls....

that's 2 games in a row they went for two.....? seriously, you have to be able to score more than a point a minute...? against UNI, UND had 24 points in the 1st / 26 minutes of basketball...sad

The sad thing is that we actually could have been alot better on offense, UND got the shot they wanted. I watched at least 1 dozen shots missed within 5 feet of the Basket,including a point blank dunk....? I have no answer for the defense, the effort seemed to be there in the 1st 20 minutes. I imagine we do not have the Athletes to match up man to man, but you will lose almost every game giving up 50+ points in the 2nd half....?

Tonite, they would have won against Mayville or the DAC. They competed, played hard. My point was if anybody was expecting a Win, they are crazy, we have not near the Talent to beat any Big 12 school. The Sioux tonite hung in and keep it close a 10-12 point game for almost 30 minutes...

As in any Sport it becomes a a issue of execution when the lights come on. Then it gets further complicated when the opposition (again any Sport) makes adjustments and takes away what you are trying to do. I have seen more experienced Coaches than Brian and the boys have trouble with this. Mac at ISU right now is struggling to get his players to understand how to react and play the team game of basketball. Obiviously the better the talent you have, the more mistakes get covered up...... We do need better players and to learn how to compete more consistently.....imo

2 Years ago in Ames... ISU could have been up by 30-35 at the half, Mac called off the dogs. 2nd half he some some offense that took 20-30 seconds to develop. Good Coaches are use to being Bad Coaches...
