I think a top four finish is reasonable for the Sioux. I'd like to see #3, but I'd be okay with #4. I don't think we'll catch Wisconsin or Minnesota, but national tournaments don't always have the top teams in them (as per last years results). I just want the Sioux to put together a good run, as I'm sure all of you do.

Not a bad first period. The Mavericks definitely putting up a stronger fight tonight. Need to come out in the 2nd with a lot of pressure.

Now that I've seen what is coming up, it doesn't appear to be because you posted something inappropriate. It almost looks like you tried to modify a quote or something, but took out a needed value, but I don't know why it would come up with every post.

I do find this interesting, as I haven't heard of it before. I'm speculating here, but something like "Inappropriate Post B??" or something. Not saying that you posted something inappropriately, but I'm just wondering what the warning would be for on a message board.

Need another solid performance from the Sioux tonight. Hopefully, it's not as chippy as it was last night towards the end of the game. We don't need a night filled with penalties.

I just figured that out, my apologies Redwing. I've been working with middle school kids all day, so I didn't know about the different schedule.

A week ago, we were in the same position that CC is currently in. Their Friday night game against the Gophers was actually better than our Friday night performance. Not saying that CC will win tonight, but if they put together the same type determination that the Sioux had last weekend, they'll rebound well. Of course, Lucia would than say that CC picked it up a notch, while the Goofers dropped a notch.

Enforcers don't log near the amount of ice time that these other players do. You don't typically see enforcers on PP or PK units. You can argue this point all night long, but enforcers do play a role in hockey, and it's a role that all teams think are vital to the success of their team. Yes, fighting is decreasing in the hockey, which is a good thing, as it will make our wonderful sport more family oriented, but teams still need the tough guys to make the statements that they make from time to time. I agree that fights should not occur every single game, but there are points in a game and season where it is necessary for whatever reason. Take a roll down memory lane to last year, when the Sioux got spanked by the Gophers at home, 6-0 on Saturday night. Rory McMahon, someone you least expect to fight, did just that. It was something he felt was needed to send a message to his team, as well as to the Gopher's team.

Parise ends the Devils/Islanders game with the game winning goal in a shootout. He was the 5th player to shoot for the Devils and made a great deke to put it by the Islanders goalie. Great game for Zach!
