  1. I'm in Tennessee, so FSSN is a bit out of my area. I don't have the Sioux Satellite dish yet, so I can't help you out with that.
  2. TH and GL comment that Lee will not be receiving as much ice time tonight as he has been in prior games, due to the "shake-up" in defensive lines by Hak.
  3. Radke and Finley back in lineup tonight, with Alexander and Marvin sitting out, as expected.
  4. Toews comments: Strange game last night. Thought we did good things on the PP. Need to play consistent hockey tonight, which we didn't do last night. Need to get more quality chances, and dirty goals if we can, which hasn't happened for a while. Got caught running around at times last night, which is when mistakes occurred. Need to make sound plays in the defensive zone, which will result in more offensive chances. Need to pull together and play as a team now. Need to play 60 minutes. We're a great team when everyone is putting forth full effort. Viewed the first five minutes of last nights game, and saw a lot of sloppy play. Need to change that.
  5. Motzko comments: Weird game last night. Not a lot of offense, but not a lot of whistles either. Had to kill 6 PP, and only had 2 PP. Goepfert didn't have to see a lot of shots from close range. Lost radio feed during last part of interview.
  6. Hak pregame comments: This game has playoff/WCHA implications. Didn't get a lot of pucks or traffic to the net last night. Weren't as sharp as we needed to be. Long passes don't work against St. Cloud. Sioux players without the puck need to work hard away from the play in order to be available/get in the play. Issue with first goal last night-should've been goaltender interference (TH comments that he thought whistle should have blown as Phil had possession of the puck) St. Cloud's a veteran hockey team, and they believe they have a shot at things. Defense changes: Splitting up Chorney and Lee. Feel they're not communicating as they should be. Parise in net. Unbeaten against St. Cloud.
  7. Need to get the win tonight boys! Let's go Sioux!
  8. I guess I question why parents should have to take their children elsewhere, simply because student chants are offensive. The REA is a family environment, whether we want it to be or not. Kids grow up idolizing players on the team, and they look forward to weekend games as much, if not more, than UND students. A lot of parents pay $400-$700 for their child to have a seat, yet their child should leave to an area of the arena where they can't hear vulgar language? I'm sure a lot of parents and children sit right next to the student section. Would their kids be allowed to sit in their seats at all during a game? I understand the students arguments, as well as yours, but your statement above was asinine.
  9. I follow two teams...the Sioux and the Devils. It sucks that they both have Lam's! And to be honest, I didn't even notice it (obviously) until you pointed it out!
  10. I don't think I ever disagreed with Sioux Yeah Yeah. I simply stated that the Badgers could have one this one, which they could have. They have no excuse for their poor play through the first two periods. This is their second weekend without Elliot, so they should have found a way to adjust, if they're the team that their records says they are. I also think that there vulnerability was exposed back in December when they lost to Tech, and than nearly lost to the US Development team, and that's when they had Elliot. I guess I don't agree with you as far as them being out of contention for #1 with being swept this weekend. If they turn it around and start winning games again, like they were prior to last weekend, things would most likely go their way. With that being said, I'm not a Badger fan, so I hope they do lose more often, regardless of who's in net.
  11. He's making plays on a nightly basis now, which is different from the beginning of the season. He may not be showing up on the points sheet consistently yet, but he's making waves attempting to do so. His comfort level has shot up quite a bit since when Robinson was there. I think a lot of it had to do with the Devils getting rid of Mogilny, and Lameroux placing Zach on the 2nd line permanently. He was being shifted around every game or so. Now he's had the opportunity to play with the same guys for the past 15 games, and chemistry is beginning to develop. I personally don't want the Devils to hire a head coach right now, because he may screw it up again, after Zach has shown what he can do when given the chance.
  12. They actually could have won this game, but took some penalties in the middle of the third to slow down their momentum, allowing the Gophers to recover from their temporary breakdown. Scoring the 3 goals in 2 minutes, 39 seconds was pretty crazy, and definitely ignited the crowd back into the game. Made for a fun 3rd period to watch, which was more than what you could say about the 2nd period of the game.
  13. I didn't catch all of it (had to tend to the dog, and I wasn't too happy at the moment), but Hak basically said a lot of what has already been said on the thread already. St. Cloud got some bounces, but we need to finish plays. Didn't feel the guys played terrible, but not great either. Disappointing loss.
  14. That was one of Hak's comment in his post-game interview. Sioux were attempting to make 50 foot passes rather than 15 foot passes.
  15. It's not as pathetic as a lot of our Friday night games this year, but we need to find a way to win, and they couldn't do that tonight. It's getting to be too late in the season to be gambling with points. Need to secure our positioning in the upper echelon of the standings, so we can make a decent run in the WCHA playoffs, and set ourselves up for a decent seed in the NCAA tournament. Not going to happen if we can't produce a win on Friday night. Need a much better performance from them tomorrow night.
  16. Pressure, but no success.
  17. Have to win the faceoffs when you're down!
  18. Empty net, with one minute left!
  19. They don't lie when they say "Clear Channel Radio." My feed is clear of everything!
  20. Should be down to 2:00 in the game now. Wish I knew what was going on!
  21. You have a forecast? I have nothing.
  22. Of course, now that we can't hear the game, the boys will start playing. I hope so!!!!!
  23. Down to 4:00 boys, time to show up!
  24. Goofer hold on to win 5-4.
  25. Redirect off of Chorney's skate. Can't really blame Lammy for that one.
