Nothing too major, just a few comments/jabs at our trio for their recent run in with the law. Wouldn't go for them anyway. I'll cheer for Northeastern as every year! My favorite comment/question on their board was "Is the legal drinking age 21 in ND?" "Ah yeah buddy, that's a federal law. Nice education you be gettin there at BC!"

And the AARP would be a sponsor?

Teams are ranked on their PWR with ties being decided on their RPI.

If you partied with them and noticed the difference, shouldn't you be able to explain the difference?
-
Yeah, but you're bringing SoDak Sioux Fan with. I don't know if that bodes well for our team!

I have a feeling coaches like Sandy and Jutting wouldn't agree. I could hear it now, "Why don't you just feed us to the lions!? Step on our heads when we're drowing!" - favorite line from "Wedding Crashers"

I'd be happy with one to get the monkey off our back about not being able to win the big one since moving to the new Ralph, but two's good too!

No Way! He's coming back so he can play with Team Canada again and get a 3rd gold!

Don't think there's anything really new in the article that I haven't heard elsewhere. Everyone is looking how to make hockey a higher scoring sporting event. I've heard the NHL is tossing around the idea of making the goals bigger, since the goalies pads are so much better. I think Brad did a good job at listing all the various things that have come into play that has changed this game. I like the idea of no line changes on icings, but don't really like the idea of no icing on penalty kills. Give the guys a break, they're already killing a penalty. I also think that the game needs to be called tighter in regards to the obstruction penalties. It's what's limiting the fans from seeing the best players show their skills. Less talented teams always find a way to cheat with out being called for it, and I personally think that's what McLeod is looking out for here. A way to make sure the less talented teams stay in games and make it a more competitive league. However, if we're looking at how best to prepare the boys to play hockey in the NHL now, we're not doing it. Smaller players are excelling in the NHL a lot more now because of the freedom to skate and not be tied up by a stick or body every single shift.

So, outside of Maine, who has UND played that is a hard team to play? That's about it. I'm not saying that Denver has had a challenging schedule outside of conference play. With the exception of Miami, I can't think of anyone who should have been a real challenge to them. However, outside of Maine, we're pretty much in the same boat.

Zach Parise gets a primary assist in tonight's Devils/Sabres game. Devils quiet for 2 periods and have all of a sudden awoke with 2 goals in about 30 seconds. EDIT: Add a goal for Zach now, about 2 minutes after the last goal. 20th goal of the year for Zach. Assist for Travis Zajac on the goal.

I guess I'm kind of confused as to what you're looking for here. I don't know what measurments they use to figure out which city/college is the heaviest for binge drinkers, but I don't think UND is any different than other Universities around the nation. It just comes out like that on paper for whatever reason. I'll say this though, the wildest parties I've ever been to or involved with were in the military. I don't think I ever went to a college party that could compete with the ones I saw while serving my country. Do I binge drink now? Not at all. I barely drink at anymore. That's just a personal choice. It's proven that adults become more responsible when they get older. So, yeah, some probably choose to go to the lake and drink heavily to avoid driving; or drink at home; or call a cab; or something that will not totally mess up what they have worked so hard for. I'm sure a lot of ss.com posters will say they've driven home after a night out on the town, when they probably shouldn't have been behind the wheel of a vehicle. Yet, I'm sure the majority of the older ones will say that they will think ahead of how they're getting home and either modify the amount they're drinking or make sure they have someone to take them or their car home. I just wonder if you're reaching here to find anything. College kids getting busted for being in an adult establishment. It's not that big of deal. Yes, 3 of our players we're involved in the incident, but it's not that big of a deal for friends to get busted together. It's what makes them friends. They'll move on from this with their careers, and have some good laughs about it 10 years from now and beyond.

I think they'd have some trouble against Hockey East as well. Yes, they wallopped Boston College early on in the season, but that won't be the BC team that is playing in March.

DU scores again to make it 3-1.
-
UMD scores to make it 2-1, Denver.

Curious George was almost on the dasher again!

CSTV announcers decide they need to inform the nation about our trio getting in trouble with the law.

The article states that he could spend 10 days in jail. Nothing definite yet. We'll have to see if Robbie has an argument as to why he shouldn't spend the time. Regardless, it's definitely something this team didn't need right now. Oh well, just a little more adversity to climb over on our way to another playoff run!
-
FSN not telecasting Goofers, so if you don't have any sport's packages, you can watch the Goofers real late on AA's webcast.
-
Way to go Robbie! Getting it done on and off the ice!
-
I have Merrimack vs Northeastern to select from as well! Oooh! Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing how Northeastern looks, but I'm sure I'll watch the Maine/New Hampshire game until Denver/UMD starts. I may have to tune in to the AA broadband too in hopes the Goofers losing streak continues!

Even if he isn't all there mentally, that doesn't classify him under the federal definition of "Mental Retardation" but rather the federal definition of "Emotionally Disturbed" which my be a better fit for him.

So with all your education, you're unable to tell the difference between a guy who acts like an idiot and people with disabilities? I'll always take offense to people who use words that show disrespect to people with disabilities because I work with them on a daily basis and see how hard they have to work to accomplish something that we take for granted. Perhaps you should take some time to work with them, and maybe you'd see where I'm coming from.

Parise adds a goal to go with his assist.
-
So in your first post, you decide to associate DHG with people with disabilities? No, I know that wasn't your intent, but I tend to think people who use disgraceful language such as this either have no class, or are too uneducated to come up with a more educated insult.
