Hak pre-game comments: Have to make sure you don't have too much rust after the week off. Worked on during the week of practice, but really have to wait until the drop of the puck. Week off is good at this time of year; hopefully pay off down the road. We've built and got a little better each day of practice. We've played our best running 4 lines. They'll use all 4 of their lines. We need to do that right away. Never know what's going to happen with us and Mankato. Last series, a lot of strange goals. Don't think we'll see an 8-6 type game. They're a young team, and done nothing but got better throughout the year. Getting good goaltending right now. Hard-nosed team. Morin is a concern, and a guy we have to try to pay attention to. He's not just talented, but a hard-nosed player. He'll get his opportunity, we just have to limit them and try to dictate them. Have to play with a little bit of confidence, and that comes from hard work. All games are important from now to the end. Same team that we've been the past few months, be concerned with the job at hand. Thought Kaip and Fabian were real keys to us in Minnesota. Has to continue. Seeing the real Erik Fabian come back now. Phil has been a real key to us. With his play, projects confidence. Need it to continue.

This is great news for those of us who live out of the GF area who definitely need our Sioux fix! After reading the article, it sounds like they did an upgrade to the system last week, so we'll have to see if it's better than earlier. As Dagies said, where it wasn't the best quality, it still allows us to watch our Sioux sports!

Yes he did which is why I believe he'll get a shot with the big club. I'm not convinced that he'll stay at that level, but I do think he will get a good opportunity to find a place on the team.

It actually came 5 minutes into the 2nd period, so he should be around until after the game!

I had that happen when I was a freshman in high school playing in an outdoor rink. At that time, I thought it was due to my brute strength, but now realize it was more likely due to the weather.

Definitely agree that Parise is better all around. I think Zach being on the Devils limits the amount of points he scores, due to the Devils defensive outlook on the game. If he were to go to a different team, I actually think ZPar would have a higher amount of points than what he has right now with the Devils. With that being said, I'm okay with him playing with Travis for the Devils. It's like watching Sioux hockey at a higher level!

Different outlook on fighting from the coaches there. I know the Hurricanes coach doesn't want his players to fight unless it's necessary. Carolina did not fight very often during last years playoff run, and I doubt their coach has changed his outlook on the topic.

What, cancel school?? A few years ago in GF, it hit -54 in midweek and we still had school. I think it warmed up to a -39 that day! It was great for science experiments with the kids, including the throwing the water outside to watch it vaporzie or make scientific predictions on how long it would take a cup of warm water to freeze. Of course, now that I live in the south, I hear all the whining when it's 25 degrees. We had an inch of snow last Thursday, which of course cancelled school for the remainder of the week. I get back today and everyone's asking if I played in the snow. Good grief!

I can see the hype between BU/BC. There's always hype when those two teams meet. That's a fierce rivalry. But that's all it really is. Northeastern and Harvard rarely field a team that can honestly compete with those two programs. Why do BU/BC never play each other in the first round of the Beanpot? Because they know the hype will grow even more when those two match up for the final game.

I got an application a year ago, and I still have 15 years to go! I'm thinking they feel I've worked hard enough in my life!
