It's been a few years since I've made the 'kato trip, but we used to go to McGoff's for pregame festivities. I thought I heard they shut down, though.
-
It's fun to watch the students "interact" with the fellows in the penalty box, too.
-
Can you name me a goalie that can differentiate between a shot that's going to hit the crossbar/post and one that's going to go into the net? They try to stop BOTH; therefore they have been BEATEN!!!
-
I couldn't get it, either...NW metro area. Would rather watch on FTA due to superior picture, but I guess I'll settle for DirecTV...
-
I'm guessing Saturday's will be FSSN as well, since I haven't heard of anyone else producing the game. Channel 625 may be listed as a BTN alternate channel, but I think DirecTV can assign it to a number of feeds. Maybe 617 and 623 are both in use at the same time? I haven't checked my guide lately...
-
What problem are you referring to? All home games will be live on DirecTV ch. 617 if you subscribe to the Sports Pack.

Hopefully we've already had our fill of humble pie!

Gosh, you'd think it was late March around here... It's upsetting to get swept, but I'm trying to keep some perspective in all this. We're only three weeks into the season. Chalk up the lessons learned and move on. Not everyone starts fast; not everyone takes three straight road trips (one to AK) to start the season. Sure, these games were critical for PWR, but we're not going to need that after we win the WCHA! I have faith they'll put it together and be playing well when it counts FIVE months from now. How can they not? This is the last season as the FIGHTING Sioux. Enjoy it.

^ This.

Lapoint watching the puck again, just like the first goal.
-
Too easy to blame the goalies (except for the bonehead puck plays). There are breakdowns everywhere. The first goal of the game started the trend. I'm just hoping they can put something together and finish strong....Oops...guess not.
-
Tough to pick out a single guy, but I'm not impressed with Lapoint tonight.
-
They're just standing around watching.
-
They need to do the opposite IMO. They need to pick up their pace A LOT and get their feet moving. A little bit of brains wouldn't hurt right now, either - especially on D.

Weak play by Dell.

The antenna isn't necessarily different - it's the TUNER in the TV that allows you to pick up the digital Over The Air stations. If your TV is equipped with a digital tuner (or a converter box) you'll be able to pick up digital signals with your antenna/rabbit ears. Sounds like you were able to scan it into your bedroom TV ok. Comparing channel numbers to your cable box is useless because cable & satellite systems will assign different channel numbers for their feeds, so they won't necessarily correlate to what the OTA signal says it is...FSN is 668 on DirecTV and 436 on Dish, etc.

I had to add the sports pack to get FCS on DirecTV.
-
That's just it...I don't think they'll have anyone on D sit on a "regular" basis. They have the makings of a very nice rotation, and should be covered nicely in the event of any lengthy injuries. Also, nobody should have to battle through the nagging stuff. This should lead to a nice healthy D-corps for the playoff push.

This sounds like a great deal for the six non-hockey Big Ten schools that will get their cut of the additional BTN revenue without putting anything into it! I wonder if this has the potential to create some tension between the hockey and non-hockey schools.

Maybe the coaching staff?

If I understand this correctly, unless they decide to activate Webb as something other than the #3 QB this season, he won't get in a game unless Favre & T-Jack go down with an injury. Once the player occupying the roster spot designated as the #3 QB enters the game, the #1 and #2 QBs cannot return. In order to get Webb the ball they would have to deactivate someone at another position (i.e. WR, special teams) and activate him in that spot.
-
I wonder if the Big Ten would have their conference tourney in Chicago, therefore leaving St. Paul open for the WCHA.

Did he say what colors the people going to detox are usually wearing? For all the beatings the Sioux have laid on the Mavs down there I would guess many of the Mavs fans are relegated to drinking themselves into stupors when the Sioux come to town!
-
You don't have to click on this thread if you don' t want to. There's nothing wrong with fellow Sioux fans discussing a little football. This is the proper venue. Are we supposed to start "www.siouxfanswholikethevikes.com" in order to avoid piquing your curiosity? Go Vikes!

It was announced that the Wild would be playing an afternoon game the day of the Final Five championship. I'm pretty sure it's the 17th - 19th of March.
