  1. You forget we have natural acoustics off the mountain side... kind of an amphitheater effect. Well, that and over twice the mouth breathers.
  2. Yeah don't go wearing a war bonnet or face paint.... They aren't going to apply that to Fighting Sioux sports paraphernalia or a Redskins sweat shirt. Basically, don't dress in a way that could be considered mocking of Native Americans. With hats like this you are pretty safe with most stuff...
  3. I think its Troy Taylor's call... who can learn his system better. Seniority, kind of goes out the window with a new OC and a new system.
  4. This is a troll job by Whittingham. He never announces starting quarterbacks or injuries. All a ploy to keep the competition guessing.
  5. Truth be told... it's not limited to "after those games"
  6. Must have been forever... No ski lifts over any highways. Plus they have the original Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Plus a multitude of microbreweries and even High West Distillery & Saloon. Probably, the only time I hate Park City is during Sundance Film Festival.
  7. If you have an extra day to spare, head up to the Utah Olympic Park in Park City. You can do freestyle ski jumping into a pool, summer bobsled with speeds of up to 70-80 mph and forces of 4-5 Gs on the curves, take a ride on the alpine slide or the alpine coaster, or do a high speed zip line ride at up to 40 mph. They also have Extreme Inner Tubing down ski jumps.
  8. If you are going to do some mountain driving I suggest going up Emigration Canyon to UT-65. Lots of switch backs and hair pin turns. Makes for an exciting drive. Especially in the fog. Also Ruth's Diner is a nice place to eat up Emigration Canyon. Video teaser.
  9. If you get a chance to check out the Ute Walk before the game its a pretty fun pre-game tradition. Basically, its a chance for fans to get a brief interaction with the team 2.5 hours before game time. Not sure if UND has something like this, but its something that sprang to mind reading your Game Day Experience thread. Ute Walk then 2 hours more of tailgating before heading into the game. 10. Right now we are looking at having our star safety, starting center and backup RB out for the game. Fortunately we have lots of depth at RB for now. But yeah we always have an injury bug.
  11. SLC has a pretty fair mass transit with the light rail you can pretty much get from the Airport to Downtown to the University and tons of places in between. If you haven't booked a room yet I suggest the Hotel Monaco. Part of the Kimpton chain so they give you a goldfish if you are lonely. Oh and mass transit is free on game day with your ticket.
  12. Of course we are concerned... A ton can happen in a game, including injuries which screw up your whole season. No game is a gimme. Which Utah forum are you looking at? Personally the one I frequent is BlockU.com at SBN. Any Utah fan that isn't concerned is kidding themselves. Utah is infamous for losing games they shouldn't.
  13. DirecTV refuses to pay what everyone else does for the Pac-12 Network, so they have never carried it.
  14. Also should be available on Cox cable if that is your provider in Gilbert. Utah is also the only Pac 12 game that Thursday so might be able to get it at sports bar that has the Pac-12 network.
  15. You can also buy 5% to 10.5% bottles from the microbreweries if you want to avoid liquor stores or they are closed.
  16. You guys are lucky... most of our scrimmages/practices are closed except for the last 20 mins open to media.
  17. Also you'd be surprised but lots of Greeks in Utah: Aristo's is walking distance from the Stadium. Great food, though you will need a reservation. Luckily, you can make those reservations onilne. The Other Place used to be a well kept secret, but the word is out with instant media. Awesome omelettes ( I suggest the Gyro omelette) and other breakfasts.
  18. Just some more information on our Craft beers:'
  19. This is an exciting topic to follow. Utah is currently going for 4th straight Ray Guy award, so we have sayings like "Punters are people too". Hopefully, we won't have to punt much this year, but when we do its something we do well.
  20. I'd also recommend you stop by Crown Burger before the game. Not a lot of food that Utah does better than other parts of the country. With in-house made pastrami. This is one of them: Also, my favorite fries...
  21. Forget the beer we have some craft brews here that are excellent like: OUTER DARKNESSā„¢ 10.5% ALCOHOL BY VOL. Just bring the cannabis edibles.
