Actually it takes a lot more reading of the defense and adjustments at the line of the play calling... I think Aaron Rodgers, Marcus Mariota, Jared Goff and many others would argue the spread QB's not making it in the NFL point

Interesting... most offenses in the Pac-12 are trending towards the read option. And most QBs at the P5 level will change up plays if they read a blitz to a short passing play. No huddle isn't about dumbing it down, its about keeping the defense gassed by stopping defensive substitutions. I think UND is one of the few college teams that still uses a pro set offense.

He extended a lot of plays with his feet... even ones that weren't necessarily successful. I think you are looking at 5-7 sacks without his footwork. And 46% when you don't have a real pocket to throw from is awesome.

I thought it was a rule FCS can only have 63 football scholarships where FBS gets 85. I didn't know about the partial scholarships. Pac-12 instituted a conference rule where all their sports get full rides but not sure it's FBS wide.

So how do you rate the crowd noise? Hope we were louder than the Fargo Dome. How was our fan intensity during the game? Any thing that stood out for you @ the game?

Curious to get a little feedback from those that made the trip... Your impressions of the experience at the game and tailgating etc... How did it compare with other venues and road trips? Any surprises? Also please share any pictures you like...

No arguments there... one of the reasons we continue to be worried about our inexperienced O-line. By the way my comment was meant to be a compliment of your QB's abilities.

To be fair... Your pass protect was OK. If you rewatch the game, Studs spent a lot of time scrambling for his life and still made some amazing passes. Honestly, I was incredibly impressed by his footwork and passing. That TD series had 2 beautiful passes bought by time scrambling outside the pocket. Even the short lob at the end for the TD Studs had dropped way back out of the pocket. But as far as having great pass protection means no pocket collapse. As far as the game plan, I can get a coach wanting to stick to basics first game. The crux is most FCS team's first games are usually their hardest, though.

Thanks, luck you you guys as well... Studsrud is a Stud... great scrambling and extending the play even when he had to throw it away instead of getting sacked. Only issues, I saw for you guys, was some over pursuit on some defensive plays. Nice kicker and I'm sure you won't face a front 7 like us again so your run game should be fine.
