  1. I'd agree, Clayton. Handyman has been more than fair, usually, but now he's on USCHO offering links to here so Gopher fans can get on board and taunt some more. Hauser's action was classless. The gophs were the better team, period. I'm impressed, Handy, that after your "apology", or whatever it was, you're trying to drum up support on uscho for getting other's in here to taunt the Sioux. Very impressive. Makes your posts ring a bit hollow (two-faced).
  2. Taz, I did forget about Blake, never thought he was a class act. Payback will be fun, but I don't expect to see a Hauser act following it. And yes, the more talented team won, as expected.

Wouldn't dwell on this year's frosh point output as to who might go or stay. Lots of great Sioux players did not put up many points their freshman year. Would expect the passes to become crisper and start connecting more regularly next year and beyond. It's been a struggle skating and passing smoothly through neutral ice, even in last night's game (in the first two periods). Tape to tape passing, which was the norm the last four years, was just not present this year, except for portions of a few games (the Sat night Denver game was one, looked like it was coming around). Last night, looked good in the third period and OT. When this bunch gets it together, they'll create many more scoring chances, and, as a result, more goals. Would love to see a couple more forwards of McMahon's ilk come along in the next couple years.
  4. I think Hauser is more than capable of losing it for them in spite of the goph talent. Same with "after the whistle" Taffe. Guess he's trying to show "toughness" to get a better NHL contract. Would guess the cheap crap will end or he'll end up pulverized early in his career. Good finish for the Sioux, and great finish for Kollar.
  5. Yep, another goph classless reaction, the five holer taunting the Sioux bench after the GWG. Can't wait to see him beaten in the NCAA's.
  6. Agreed, great game for Kollar, and very good third period by the Sioux. They looked good in spite of not finding the net until Kollar was pulled near the end.
  7. Not to mention Goph players yapping at opponents after they have a big lead. Absolute worst in the country for this.
  8. Seems that Skarp and Bayda would be the only two with a chance of leading the Sioux to a good start next year. Bayda will likely have to go it alone, hopefully he'll be back.
  9. What trouble? Do whatever you like? Continue to complain about Bo even after you win. And you can complain away here with little chance of an SCSU'er jumping in and causing a Goph/SC flame war that regularly occurs on USCHO. I don't have a double standard. Only the Gophs are classless
  10. I take all the Gopher yapping, including Handy's, concerning how glad they are not to have Bochenski to mean they really did want him, and feel better now that they're the better team with him at ND. It's their year for yapping, they better win it all or be ready to take some crap if they lose. SL is so full of himself it's hard to read his posts. Classless in victory, just as they are after years of defeat.
  11. Watched a super defensive game against Denver last Sat, now this. Glad I didn't stay up and watch. Better be a lot better effort tonight when it's live on Fox.
  12. Gophs are the yappiest team in the country, bar none. This year they can back it up by being good also. Nevertheless, a classless bunch, as always.
  13. If handy talks as much at games as he posts on boards he and everyone near him must miss most of every game. Do you get any work done between perusing and posting on boards, handy?
  14. It's so easy being green.
  15. Was listening to the two Tims on the car radio on my way to the motel from the game Sat. night. Seems that most of the discussion centered on Sheppard inserting himself as the referee in the Wisco/MDU series last weekend, and somehow that showed that the league wanted to make sure Wisco
  16. Actually, not before the Sat game, got there too late and the crowd in the halls was huge. Championship was played there Sunday, however, so wandered around with the place virtually empty. Very nice doing it that way. Great photos. Nice seeing the GLI trophy right up front (missed it Sat night).
  17. Some great hits by the D. More than one bone crusher by D. Hale. Hope he has many more left for this weekend.
  18. Even though Sat night was the only game I made this year, it was a bit sad to hear the end of the game announcement of, "thanks, see you next year", especially without the NCAA's to look forward to. If the Sioux can play that tight man on man D they played Sat, they'll have a good chance against the Goofs. PK was good also, a necessity against MN. Team looked sharp, I think they are ready to make a series of it. McMahon is going to be a great Sioux player (my only prediction). This can be a very solid team (and they were on Saturday). I'd expect good things next year.
  19. Looks like there are available student tickets for sale. Surprised since it's the last series against the top team. Will these games be on TV in Grand Forks? We'll be going Saturday night but will be in the motel Friday night.
  20. Hope after all the perusing the Sioux play a game worth watching. Expecting they will.
  21. Hope to, depending on when the kids play that afternoon.
  22. Dagies, I enjoyed reading the "stuff" on Friday's game, and the fight period. I get a similar report from a guy on Red Deer games (major Canadian junior), who have a kid playing for him that played against my kids when they were younger (drafted #66 by the Ducks). He always has a blow by blow description of the fights, as that seems to be the highlight of Canadian Junior (lots of them every game). I'll be in the REA for my first time on Saturday. Hope the Sioux get after it.
  23. I've noticed similar Wooger comments during the Goph/Sioux games this year. Seems like he suffers from a bit of Blais envy.
