Time for the third period blow-out. Maybe we can hear Lundblom a few more times
-
What's going on with Duluth this weekend? Maybe next weekends SCSU series will be better than expected.
-
Wooger and Hairpiece would like a 60 minute gopher PP. Couldn't tell how that bad angle shot made it through Parise. He was against the post with the pads together. Didn't look possible.
-
That's called a lucky bounce, not a rebound Fox is going out constantly tonight, so I'm running back and forth from TV to dataflix. Audio only on TV, Wooger said a terrible job of Gopher forwards coming back.
-
Sioux didn't come out with the same fire as last night. They were still the better even strength team but got hurt on the Gopher PP. All lucky bounces for the Gophers
-
Frank and Wooger still whining about no goal call last night. Not a word about the lucky bounces resulting in gopher goals so far.
-
Mitch on with the Hanson Bros. on the dataflix pregame.
-
Blais just on pregame; JPar will start. Briggs was just in net taking shots in the warmup; not sure if he was the first goalie in or not. Lucia missed the pregame interview with TH.

I thought I'd bought the archives also when I bought the hockey package, but when they showed a price, I emailed dataflix, and found out only the $150 package gets the archives. You will get some extras with the hockey package, including siouxillustrated, the tv show, and others supposedly. Not sure when those xtras are available, although the si tv show was on prior to the gopher game last night, I think. Here's the links on dataflix. Note the "archives" under sports: http://www.dataflix.com/scripts/prodList.asp?idCategory=1
-
You can only watch the archives if you paid for the entire Sioux package ($150). Or you can pay an additional $2.95 to watch an archived link. Your remaining views are dead once the live game is complete.

The Sioux hockey link is working right now, so maybe tonight (for those without TV).
-
Sioux score again; 27-3 with 9 minutes to go in the third.
-
Right now it would appear the Gophs have neither offensive or defensive dmen, coupled with quite a few forwards who don't come back to help out in their own end (are there like 7-8 Spehar clones on the team right now?).
-
17-3 Sioux now. Did I hear SCSU lead the Bison 27-10 at half?
-
Appears that the audio is down and out again today. Last night the hockey game was available at the football link, today (so far) neither link works.

I was not prepared to be overly impressed by the kids coming straight from SSM, rather than having the junior (us or canadian) experience first. However, these SSM freshmen (Smaby, Stafford, Porter), are really good, already. Seems that this freshmen class comes close to being on par with the class of 81?? (not sure of the year) that brought the Notre DAme Hounds to the Sioux (Patrick, Sherven, Tippet, Archi, etc).
-
So will football this afternoon be at the hockey link? Or basketball, soccer, or volleyball (if such links exist)
-
With all the scoring by the first line last night, can't be missed that Jones and Prpich were huge defensively. Dominant is more like it. Any player's worst nightmare: having Prpich assigned to shadow you Don't believe Vanek and Prpich cast seperate shadows last night.

The whistle did go before the puck went in. Greene actually never had the puck in his glove, it hit his arm and rolled out by the bend in his elbow. Certainly not a penalty shot, not sure why the early whistle? The cross check did knock Greene and the puck into the net.
-
Latest scores, BC4 Maine 1, Wisco 9 MTU 4 Duluth and SC, no score in the second.
-
They've already forgotten about the awfull call when Parise was tackled and the Sioux were given a penalty, Sioux are only ahead because of lucky bounces and bad calls, according to Woog. The goal should have counted, not sure why Schmitt waved it off; maybe an opportunity for a makeup on the terrible penalty call. Sioux did not have the fire that period that they did in the first. Not as physical, didn't forecheck hard, a bit of an early prevent, although they did get two goals before the penalty turned things around. Gophers are sending 3 forwards in deep to forecheck, and are therefore short when the puck gets turned around. Sioux need to get back to the hard checking game, they had the Gophers totally out of sync until they quit.
-
Briggs looked behind him 3 or 4 times that period, thinking the Sioux had scored when he made the save. Wooger has a loud whine going, wanting penalties, liberal assists always given to the Sioux (on Parise' goal, don't know who got assists, but Bochenski should have one), missing dmen, etc, etc. Sioux owned the neutral zone, tons of gopher turnovers, should be more than 2-1. Very physical period. Looks like Vanek getting the protection that Parise doesn't, although the gopher d was whiffing on everyone that period. USCHO must be overloaded again, can't get in to check scores.

Was that Dubay on dataflix. Already making excuses. Sounds like November definitely doesn't count.

Hale and G. Potulny in captains meeting with the refs. Assume that means no Schneider tonight.
