  1. I don't know how many, if any Sioux fans, were on gpl last year enjoying the blarney's incident, but there sure are a number of skippies here. Have to love their chastising Sioux fans here. Get a life, go back to the rodent hole.
  2. If they really are rules here that trolls are banned, it's time for one to be gone, please, admin.
  3. Maine with a late PP goal and an empty netter, wins 4-2
  4. They're OK, since they also got away with ripping the tag off their mattresses.
  5. DHG, whose online personality is very similar to above also.
  6. 66-61 SCSU final, SC didn't miss over the last 9 minutes, while the Sioux struggled to score.
  7. The consequences are "pay your fine" and move on, just like any other college student does.
  8. If college kids did what us "old farts" did out in the open outside the dorms, on university ave sidewalks during the day and night, they would get so many minors it would more than double the tuition costs. It's a good thing that the public has cracked down on alcohol use, especially as it relates to drinking and driving, but we got away with way more than any college kids can today. And it wasn't because we were smart and careful about what we did.
  9. Non-athlete college students pay their fines for minors and continue on; no school or event suspensions. Don't know why athletes should be any different.
  10. Vista is merely an XP service pack that Microsoft chose to charge for, at least in the basic and premium editions (and I don't know what other additions there are).

    Ryan Duncan

Does this have anything to do with that "thumb" thing

Since inference seems to fly right over your head, here is my answer. I don't g.a.s. if another AD sieves with his fans. Is that crystal clear now? I now know why I had this poster was on ignore, time to go back there again.

Maturi should be sieving with the gopher crowd when they score, as long as it's considered PC. Makes no difference to me. How many more "reactions" do you need to your question? There are over a page of them since you first asked, or are you not reading?
  14. Can't believe you missed the whole "skippie" interactions week.
  15. I realize the fan vote counts little, just wondering about the site setup, which was much different for past years' fan vote.

There are any number of these "rumours" floating around on GPL. Do you know which are fact and which are fiction?

When goalies get sieved 12 times in their own rink, the home faithful get cranky. Whether the sievers are wearing team jerseys or suits is immaterial. Way to go Buning; great to get those skippies worked up over being a fan of your team.
  18. Although the site says we're in phase 1 of the fan vote (http://www.hobeybaker.com), only a limited number of candidates are listed, including just Toews and Oshie from the Sioiux. Past years you could vote once a day for your top 3, and all players of all teams were listed. Now, limited candidates and you can vote multiple times per day. Which means, can't even give Bina or Duncan votes. I believe, however, the coaches' vote counts much more heavily, so they may still have a chance, in spite of getting no fan votes (coaches vote for top 3 in conference and top 3 in nation, in two separate votes).
  19. Woog may have a bit of disconnect between ears and mouth
  20. "Damn overaged (18 year old) Canadian, why don't you go back where you belong."
  21. Although you can't know what's going to be called with the inconsistency of the likes of Adam, little Shep; Campion's calls this weekend seemed to follow the rules "NHL like" at one end, and "let em play" call nothing at the other. It had to be unbelievably obvious to anyone not partial to either team. If this is the best there is in college hockey (McCleod interview on Friday), then we are in trouble. Can't be surprised by any Goph that would think these were well called games, they won't lose much with Campion at the helm. Can't be a real good deal for them, in that somewhere down the road they won't be able to throw punches after the whistle, wrap both arms around people and throw them down, and run goalies without being sent to the box. It will be hard to instantly change the way they play when they run into a non-WCHA referee. Didn't see much of the Mankato series games with the fiasco between the coaches/Campion afterward, just assumed that it was the way Mankato plays the game that led to the disparity. After watching this weekend, I'm no longer sure that's true.
  22. I think you're right that Casey stole a game there that weekend, but it was the 4-3 Friday night win, when the Sioux were out-chanced by a bunch. Saturday night was much tighter and more evenly played, but the Sioux lost 1-0 (my only trip to Williams arena). (I may have the wrong year however)
  23. Post #78 Thanks Skippie, for the great material. You may want to lay off the sauce when posting in the first period of the first game
  24. 1. Murphy vs. the Gophers in early 70's (the worst of all of them), don't remember who made the clear. 2. Casey vs Wisco (Chelios) in early 80's. 3. Kollar vs MN (Leopold) as posted by PCM. That's the three vs the Sioux that I remember. Last night's might be a first for the Sioux.
  25. So you're saying the goals aren't lodged against the end boards
