The FSN crew was talking about someone from Wisco (player, coach) saying that if they won 2 of 3, the committee might put them in the tourney since they are defending champs. That's back to the smoke filled room days, if the committee starts making arbitrary decisions then mathematical ratings are going down the tubes. Can't see it happening.

Interesting that a Thursday night win by Mich Tech will not only end Wisco's season, but Denver's as well. The CC/Denver home losses have knocked the WCHA teams to 3, while HE gets 5. The chances of the Sioux being knocked out are even less likely than finishing as a 1 seed. Still, winning is the only option, as backing in stinks.

It appears that both CC and Denver have played their way out of the tourney. Wisco must win the final five to get in, and Mich Tech probably needs a couple wins, especially one against the top 3 final five teams, after beating Wisco, to have a shot at getting in. Otherwise, just 3 WCHA teams. With Denver out, I'd guess the Sioux could end up there as a 2 seed.
