  1. when did CBS become a Canadian network?
  2. Systems can run from a couple hundred to well let your mind roll A basic system includes the following -Receiver to pick it up -30
  3. Pete's a really good guy He can give you all the info you will need to pick up the games
  4. Fri 3-1 Sioux (ENG at end) Sat 2-2 tie
  5. PVR, DVR, Tivo type unit basically its a glorified VCR. Since I use the FTA receiver a lot, I decided to get one and consolidate. it allows me to watch two shows on same satellite at the same time (Picture in Picture) and record two shows. So I can record the Sioux game and watch other stuff on same satellite (not much extra there) but other satellites have more I had it hooked up for the Harvard game and could creat my own replays and stuff. Pause the game while I ran and got a pop too
  6. got it and resent back ground....good. I like them (easier than the roof mount ones) We'll get ya up and running before the Landcows series
  7. Where ya located? ( i assume TC since Pete installed it) Where is the dish? roof or ground? I would try to do this....add the following transponder to your setup (Telstar 4) 11780 freq H polarity 29000 symbol rate That is on 24/7 and would help aim it. Otherwise shoot me a PM, I might be able to come help (depending on location). (Im in SW suburbs)
  8. After 3 weeks of no hockey on FSSN, it will be nice to have it back. Plus, I got me a new FTA receiver after X-Mas
  9. thanks for the reminder
  10. just because its tape delayed on cable doesnt mesan its tape delayed on the satellite 99% of "tape delayed" broadcasts are shown live for the people with c band or KU band
  11. I dont know. I knwo when UMD was in Alaska I asked him but he didnt have a VCR that worked and I dont have C-Band (stupid Home Owners Assoc.)

  14. Originally this road series was to be televised by FSSN...but I heard Friday night Puckhead said "Next TV is January 20th against Mankato" bummer...was looking forward to watching hockey late at night
  15. both games came booming it at 99 quality here in Minneapolis now just so you know, there wont be a signal until about 15 minutes before game time
  16. havent found anything yet...scanned yesterday for anything
  17. some of them might be....TSN in Canada is going to show a lot of games so it is possible Have no idea on coordinates yet
  18. the inexpensive ones do work pretty good
  19. biggame If you're still having issues, I would recommend coming over to www.satelliteguys.us and check out the FTA area we have. Both myself & PSB are mods there (and are there all the time it seems) and maybe there is somebody local that could help out Tonight and tomorrow ought to be good games...signal has been strong on the new satellite (usually a 99)
  20. OK that mount (I think...not 100% sure) you line the middle of the nut even with the elevation so if elevation is 50, the middle of the nut should be there Sorry I dont know but I havent used that mount before
  21. The Fortec dishes have an elevation red marking by the bolts you would tighhten to get elevation. make sure the settings are right in the unit. Since the LNB is a Universal, make sure the settings are set for Univaersal and not standard I dont have a Fortec, but the screen should say Universal 1 9750/10600 for the LO frequency make sure you are on the right transponder (the one I noted above) and aim the dish straight south. I'm in MN so G3 is almost south for me. Put the elevation close to what Pete has above (I cant see what it is right now since I'm replying) key word when you aim is S L O W L Y move the dish back and forth...if you aim it south, you shouldnt have to move it back and forth much..maybe a couple inches or so If you get nothing, try to move the elevation up or down and retry. Once you get a blip then you know you're in the ballpark and can really fine tune it
  22. I'll at casa du Iceberg btoh nights Sioux Friday/Saturday Bulldogs Saturday Hockey Night In Canada Saturday ICEBERG LOVE ME SOME SATELLITE
