Legally there are different rules for commercial establishments. Can they break them...sure they can..but if they get caught...oh boy. cheesemover (Sensers guy) posted in the "Sioux on Satellite" thread No FTA available, I heard from a very reliable source that it was going to be a scrambled feed via Digital satellite from FSN RM to FSSN for local viewing/transmission only so it doesnt sound like they are showing it.
-
Sensers isnt carrying it
-
Whatever rinky dink towns Midco covers that are right by GF (and it has to be on Channel 23). Lets put it this way...If you had to see last Saturday's UMD/UND game on WDAZ (and not on FSSN), then you should be able to see this weekends games on FSSN
-
well lets see...from the gf herald and fightingsioux.com so no its not on TV of course it is.
-
Fox College Sports is a cable verison of the satellite multisport pack. Both games are on FCS Central and next week's games are back on the nationwide version of FSSN
-
Grand Forks only per the guy for Sensers, the feed from Denver is encrypted so no other FSSN's or the FTA'ers via satellite can get it -Grand Forks and immediate area (I guess this means who has Midco near there) -Dish channel 414 -Direct channel 645 Need the sports pack for the satellite customers
-
Dish channel 414 (FSN RM)
-
if its encrypted, then no. Cheesemover said "No FTA" so I guess the only people who can see it are the cable subs in GF proper
-
The reason you would get the Wisco games is because of the alternate channel. There are 2 feeds of FSN North (one for MN and one for Wisco). Cable subs only get the MN one (unless you live in WI). Satellite only has the

D'OH!! Didnt notice the fact someone decided to resurrect a really old thread
-
yeah that was weird. I actually had some rainbow streaks in mine (not B&W) for a couple minutes, then black screen then color
-
damn....I didnt know the Satworks went that high My Fortec was pegged at 99 for both nights
-
Its just the way they are made. It is a very nice unit but it always seems to scare people when I say the Satworks gets 45 and the Pansat gets a 90 The Satworks is a very stable machine for the meter 45-46-45-45-46-etc Whereas my Pansat jumps 90-80-91-99-75-90-91-etc I have a new Fortec that was stable last night for the b-ball games (83-84 consistent) The Fortecs are nice
-
nodaker what receiver do you have? The Satworks is known for its low signal quality but its stable. My Pansat jumps from 75-90 all the time. For last nights b-ball game I had the following readings on the different receivers(all from the same dish/LNB combo) Coolsat-79 stable Fortec-85 stable Pansat-90 (between 80-91) Satworks-46 stable Viacast-74 (between 71-77) so as you can see they all are different

Since this thread has been pretty tame this year Has anybody had any issues this year getting the games in (other than the ones who had their dishes aimed at the old satellite) Hopefully the Sioux use this same satellite next year

Sioux basketball on tongiht on FSSN 6PM Womens 8PM Mens

Sadly I dont live in Duluth anymore..I'm in the middle of rodent country.
-
Really don't know. Any sportsbar that has a free to air receiver and a 30" or larger dish should be able to get it. Maybe Goodsports in Superior can get it. If they need the coordinates, the game is at Intel America 8 (the old Telstar 4 spot) 89 degrees west frequency 11991 vertical polarity symbol rate 4880 signal pops up about 15 minutes before game time (7:15 or so Frdiay) I'll be watching it at my house in suburban rodent country (Shakopee)

shut up I was typing too fast... and I stand behind my predictions (with the edit to say UMD5, UND 1) hey I'm just happy I can see a road game on TV that will look good. The UMD telecast on road games sucks. They use the same feed as the home team and try to put their graphics on there and it doesnt look good at all (also it seems they take too long of commercial breaks so you miss the first 15-20 seconds when they come back) As an example, this Saturday they (WDIO) will take the feed from FSSN (including the graphic in corner) and cover up the Sioux logo with their logo (10/13), try and add a logo when UMD is on the PP and just make it look bad. I'll watch it on the FSSN
-
I thin you mean the Sioux fans will walk out with the brooms because they ain't sweeping UMD Friday UND-4 UMD-2 eng at end Saturday UMD-5 UND-1
-
now I know it ain't much, but on IA8 (same satellite as Sioux) there is a couple "rivalry" basketball games this weekend Montana/Montana State Womens-2/10 8:05 CST Mens-2/11 9:05 CST IA8 (Telstar 4) 12009 V 6148 symbol rate also, you might want to scan it on weekends. There have been some other hockey games on that satellite (CCHA games)
-
locally-no Fridays game is on in CC on their local cable channel (channel 32) ...but I did read they do stream the game too from the CC press release
-
when you select L or R only, it outputs that channel to both R & L
-
no problems here with 2 receivers The audio is left channel only and I know if you leave up the right channel too there is some "noise" in the background. Sensers might want to change the setting on the receiver to left only Picture is nice and clean
