I disagree. For as much money as the WCHA is making, bring in NHL refs and let them call NHL style games. Get rid of the clutching and grabbing, hooking, and interference. The increased cost of game officials can be offset by eliminating the head of officials position, because the NHLers answer to their guy.

I look at it from the standpoint that if he had not posted it, I would have never seen it. That was a very nice hit.

Not sure of anything about a commitment, but given your clues, I would suggest Garrett Clarke from Russell Stover who is an offensive defensmen. Another possibility could be Emerson Etem from Shattuck. I don't think either of those would be youngest ever for all of hockey.

The only outcome of this would be less games against Minnesota, Wisconsin, Denver, and so on. I don't want to see that.

Shattuck finally updated their stats. Toews still with a huge lead in points but has dropped to 2.0 per game. The to Badgers are doing alot of scoring as well, but I think that has alot to do with Toews 41 assists. The Bruneteau brother seems more like a defensive defenseman. Emerson Etem is holding his own as a 10th grader. Looks like Shattuck went over to Europe and got beat up pretty bad.

I think Stanley Cup and Skoula are mutually exclusive. I couldn't figure out why he is on the team until I realized he is a Czech...

Keep an eye on Emerson Etem. Only a sophomore, he will be real good...

Don't for get we have Fienhage who might go in the 1st or 2nd as well. As good as Gleason looks, I can't help but wonder if he doesn't play USHL 1 year. Even if not, 8 defenders is not unheard of, especially when you have some prime candidates for WJT.

Has anyone seen him play? I wonder if after the Budish decision he might be next in line for that spot (which is moot since Budish is coming here). He plays with Fink in Waterloo which isn't too far from me so I might have to road trip some night.

Cam is good, but I don't think there will be room given his age. His younger brother Greg is a must have, though, I have heard. Andrew MacWilliam, who some troll on here was slamming is now projected to be a 2nd round NHLer. I still think the Sioux get 1 more D for next year. Lastly Ness is an awesome recruit and somebody the Gopher fans are going to love. He was built for Minnesota's ice. Missing him was unfortunate, almost as much as losing Colin Wilson right out of our back yard to BU (he is projected to go 9th overall in the next draft).

When I first saw the title of this thread I thought this might be the MTU vs. Sioux thread...

Goal 1: JPL comes across lazily on the wrap around and gives the 5 hole. Should never happen, think Porter on Frazee. Goal 2: Turnover in transition, but the defense recovers and on the 2x2 the forward is pushed wide and beats JPL with a weak wide angle shot 5 hole. Goal 3: In JPL's defense it was a breakaway, but he bites on a weak move spreads his legs wide for 5 hole #3. This was the worst game I have seen JPL play in 2 years.

Is there no icing in St. Cloud with 2 seconds left?
