Chuck, do you get a marketing commision for LaPoint? I am happy the Sioux have LaPoint, but would like to see him in the USHL for a year just to gain some weight. His listed weight and photo imply skinny, which is not good for the WCHA. However, if Hak brings him in, I'm sure it was the correct decision.

The only recent player I didn't have an issue with leaving after 2 years was Zach Parise, he was just too good for this level at that point, but as a general rule I think 3 years should be standard. I really wish the NHL would consider enforcing this, BUT players like Toews might then go to Major Juniors.

Smaby made the right choice, he was ready... Even last year I thought he was our best defender in the playoffs. Still I am sad. I don't however think that we should be losing anyone else.

I'm excited because if Stafford does come back he will be an early favorite for the Hobby and assuming that the team and he perform as expected, he just might win it... If Smaby and Parise come back I would expect them to be in the running for "all everything."
