reality is its phil's team, grieco will have his chances for sure but if he doesnt produce its phil every night no matter what and there isnt a thing wrong with that after he turned his season/career around in the 2nd half of last season!

exact point, there is nothing in between and the players coming are not considered superstars by any means. i know you dont need superstars all around to win the gold but a few help during the process. yeah, what the hell JR will want to play still

exactly, he is not a scorer for sure, he is a grinder with tons of energy and great work ethic. in the AHL he would be a 3rd line player that could help a team out for sure. i say he lands a AHL contract and has a very nice minor league career. there is nothing wrong with that for sure. unless you are drafted and your NHL team has you developing in the AHL, the NHL isnt that easy to crack and i dont see him doing that.

staal had a hell of a rookie year. i think either or was the correct pick for them. thy both have great games. i guess only time will tell on who will have a better career, i know one thing, canada has a boatload of great talent for the future to get them back to the gold medal ranks in the olympics with all these young stars

lets hope he can sign a full year contract in the AHL, the coyotes almost signed him after his senior year with te sioux. they were very interested in him playing in san antonio their AHL team. i see this happening as he had a very solid year and belongs in the AHL!

dont think there is pressure at all, look what he did at the world juniors for his country, that was pressure and he waxed frazee like nothing. he seems like a type of kid who doesnt let pressure bother him. canada cant wait for the next olympics for him to be setting up sid the kid, nash and others..........
