  1. sounds like a good reason to me, some work out, some dont.............im sure they may be a little more to this but we move on....
  2. do you know the reason he wont be at und or are you just speculating? just wondering as there can be many reasons why hes not sticking around, not only because of playing time..
  3. hf capitals draft review http://www.hockeysfuture.com/articles/9814 Brett Bruneteau, C -- Omaha Lancers USHL Height: 5'11 Weight: 180 Drafted: 4th round, 108th overall What Brett Bruneteau brings is not blazing speed or incredible size, but hockey sense and leadership. The US team captain in the Under-17 Five Nations Cup and grandson of former Detroit Red Wing Eddy Bruneteau, Brett has the determination and a sense for the game that could help him rise above the criticism he faces. Bruneteau will spend one more year in the USHL, then make his move to college with the University of North Dakota in 2008-09. hf islanders draft review http://www.hockeysfuture.com/articles/9815 Jason Gregoire, LW 5'11 - 175lbs - Lincoln - USHL 24.02.1989 Selected 3rd round, 76th overall Shortly after the Islanders selected Katic, they were up on the board again with the 76th pick, choosing left wing Jason Gregoire. Ranked by ISS at 147th overall, Gregoire was a surprise choice to many. However, the Islanders scouts were quick to point out how Gregoire really came into his own at the end of the season, scoring four goals in four playoff games for Lincoln. He showed a great deal of on-ice maturity during this time, especially following an ankle injury that kept him out for nearly half the season. Gregoire is known for his quick hands. He can win one-on-one battles with relative ease and has shown the ability to work down low and around the net rather well. He's still many years away from being considered ready for the pros and will need to work a great deal on his defensive-zone coverage as well as his ability to win battles along the boards. Gregoire represented Canada at the U-17 Junior World Cup, scoring four points (three goals) in four games. This past season, he registered 16 goals, 20 assists for 36 points and only 10 penalty minutes in 32 games played.

  7. will the oilers GM lowe make another big time offer to parise like he did for vanek?? and then force the devils to match? could get interesting with the cap going up a bit this year..i think he may, not to the level of vaneks offer but a nice sized offer for zach http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=212941&hubname=nhl
  8. yeah, we need paul bunyan chopping down those piss yellow and crap brown baby trees
  9. yeah, lets see, a 1st round draft pick who has the dough waiting for him VS a undrafted goalie whos stock would have never been so high who had to sign to get that contract before someone else took it..........hmmmmmm.............
  10. i would say probably not but hell, you never know..i thought it may take him 3-4 years to get that roll if he even ever gets the call up in his career. they signed fomer rangwer kevin weekes to be the backup, i dont see jpar seeing the nhl anytime soon
  11. ok, whats his name or are you referring to marto as there would not be a spot for him unless they really want genoway at forward??
  12. GREAT chorney interview video, http://oilers.nhl.com/team/app?articleid=3...p;service=page# from brads blog regarding other summers camp attendees http://www.areavoices.com/undhockey/ On the way This week, there will be Sioux players at camps in St. Louis, Atlanta and Washington. Current Sioux players T.J. Oshie and Ryan Duncan will be at camp in St. Louis. Although Duncan was undrafted, he was offered a spot at the camp by the Blues and he accepted. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch will be doing a feature on Oshie for Sunday's paper and will likely touch on his decision to stay at UND and how it parallels a decision he made in high school. Current Sioux forwards Rylan Kaip and Andrew Kozek will be at the Atlanta Thrashers' camp this week. Both attended camp last year and were roommates. Michael Forney, who is a Thrashers draft pick, will not be attending as he's still rehabbing from offseason shoulder surgery. Current UND defenseman Joe Finley and forward recruit Brett Bruneteau will be at camp in Washington. It will be the first time at prospect camp for both players, I believe. The Rocky Mountain News published the list of players attending camp in Colorado and draft pick Brad Malone was not listed.
  13. hf and their crack staff say blood may go back to shattuck for another year, i guess shattuck has a grade 13 now http://www.hockeysfuture.com/articles/9811 Ben Blood, D Last Team: Shattuck St. Mary
  14. anyone in the new jersey ring know whats up with parise and a new contract? i have read some stuff saying they might not offer and then wait for a team to offer him a contract s hes restricted. vanek just got 50 million over 7 years as buffalo matched edmontons offer, should be interesting, i say he gets a 5 year deal in the 20 million range?? maybe more, thanks
  15. hasnt signed with them, they may not sign him....if not he becomes a free agent
  16. its unrealistic to think the general population would ever get this unless like you say, you are 1 of 12,000 people in a arena to in his area when hes at a game. he should have a camera on him during the entire game he is at that night and then when a official makes a crappy call he can get on the jumbotron or for those arenas who dont have one he can get on the microphone and explain why that call was made he should shrug his shoulders and shake his head as there are always crappy calls with good calls and if he wasnt human or a robot i would expect him to do that... seriously, he is a major dumb ass for doing what he did at his g kids game, pathetic actually, i am at my 11 year old brothers games all the time here and there are always a few d-bags like shep, maybe don adam can become the sioux all time ref at the ralph and on the road.....that would be another great move by old man shep......
  17. i would assume he would be in the AHL either way, i believe they have til august if im right to sign him before he becomes a free agent, he will be in the AHL this year, its just a matter of where if he becomes a free agent. he will be the best ever former sioux!!
  18. yup, chicagos with toews, porter isnt there which sucks as that doesnt sound good for him to be signed....if not he will sign with someone else and be a nice AHL player
  19. http://www.southwestreviewnews.com/main.as...amp;TM=39340.01 OR HERE http://dirtysdiatribe.blogspot.com/ what a guy....... no wonder parents cant say a damn thing anymore during games, everyone wants relive their glorydays through kids or grandkids they must have forgot to mention he is the director of OFFICIALS in the WCHA now only if he can use this anger towards his own officials and son when they screw up Greg Shepherd, 58, a former West St. Paul city council member, apologized last week for offensive remarks made during a Little League baseball game. The grandfather of eight, a former member of the city's Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee, disrupted the 9- and 10-year-old boy's championship at the West St. Paul Sports Complex on Father's Day, June 17, when he yelled at an umpire. "I got just a little carried away with my mouth to an umpire that made a call," Shepherd said. "I was embarrassed and I wanted to apologize to everybody. I said it was my fault, and I should know better." Letter: 'Sorry' for rude ballfield behavior To the editor: I, Greg Shepherd, would like to apologize to all the parents and grandparents that were at the West St. Paul Complex for the ball game between the West St. Paul and Mendota Heights 9- and 10-year-olds. The was I acted was very uncalled for. To both teams' players and coaches I am truly sorry. You try to teach sportsmanship and here is myself acting like a complete idiot. And to the umpires I am very, very sorry for any remarks I made toward you. It was uncalled for. I am truly sorry. Greg Shepherd West St. Paul
  20. last time i checked lee has been the only player in recent years to be crtisized like he was. finley was early but he has improved his game a lot! i dont care either way if people rag on a player or cheer on a player as long as they bring facts and good arguments. if we all agreed on everything this sure would be a boring board and i think your point has been well documented;) i think lee is a very different case with many fans, he came in as a very high draft pick, mr hockey and so on and he didnt deliver to some fans likings, oh well, we move on and have another run to the frozen 4! trioup, red, whos with me on that? for those who are lets crack some cold ones in denver
  21. same deal as all rookie max contracts i believe, just players will have way different incentives than eachother to inflate those 850,000 base salaries
  22. you are right, you cant replace 2 years on the blueline for sure but i feel good about only losing brian having a couple other d men stay!! we started 4 freshman 2 years back and this year will only be 1 likely, we are very deep on D and think this core will lock some teams down big time
  23. im assuiming porter isnt there due to not having a contract and not wanting to get hurt?? maybe they wont sign him...
  24. i wouldnt be suprised if tj changed his mind and wouldnt fault him if so...that saying i think he will be back with the rest that said........
  25. not sure on that as hextall was coming in to begin with then they switched frattin in and hextall will be playing another year in the bchl, he was stated to come in before lee made his decision and also they play different positions so i wold say no.
