+/- has always been a overrated stat to me. thats not knocking joe at all as it shows hes on the ice for some nice even strength goals but it doesnt tell the whole story of a D man. jones is rock solid and is a nice player to mix up with our more offensive d men

yeah it sucks as we have keith yandle who has a big upside and throws in a nice offensive game and that has forced matt as the 7th guy and sitting a lot lately. they have dressed 7 d men actually like 3 or 4 games which was different as that shows gretzky does like what matt brings but we are actually winning here now and yandle has been a nice spark as much as i want to see matt in there. i do think matt got a chance though the first half this season and will be a nice 5-6 d man for another team for the rest of his career or if the yotes deal any d men he will be the first to come back into the lineup. just a numbers game here and when you start winning yo have to go with what got you there and yandle coming up has forced jones to be sitting in the good ol pressbox

looks like hes getting some very nice icetime as well. hope he can keep it up because goig team to team isnt great for the ol moral and teams see that as well and you wonder if its bo instead of just teams not giving him a real shot. hope he tears it up unless its vs the yotes 5 games with anaheim so far, 1 goal, 2 assists. good start

its only funny when its used to stalk players on who they are friends with and who they send mesages to and what they say besides that its cool this fan ballot is only a percentage of who really ends up in the top list for the hobey. we dont have a hobey contender as of now, that may change but for now we dont when comparing to other players numbers across the nation. hell one fan base could vote a million times for jeff frazee and it wouldnt make a difference in the end if he didnt have a hobey type season.

i agree but goalies need big time "ryan miller" numbers to get in that top 5 or so.......lets just roll 10 wins in a row and that will happen. throw in 2-3 more shutouts and we have ourselves a contender we have already won 3 in a row. whats 7 more

oh you sieve, of course you pop up..............at least our best players stick around til the end now theres a concept....... the gophs had had a few problems this season.......injuries, quitters and a goalie with nothing between his ears..........it happens to the best of them well injuries that is seriously ive always said this about und and minny............usually 1 down year will happen every ten years or so. just law of averages i believe but usually they are expected. thats the crazy thing about your team. oh well - fear the dogz

i look forward to see what forney can do in his last 2 seasons with the sioux. surgeries can be a huge setback in anyones life and especially if you are playing top level hockey. go forney!

i think its more of if we get a big lead then thats what they seem to do under jutting so ya never know what could happen. if they wana get cheap then we will have a couple guys whoop their azzes we dropped 32 goals on them in 6 games last season. 5 wins and a 4-4 tie, this would be a hell of a weekend to open the floodgates and really score some goals! lets hope it happens go sioux - sweep the landcows and get out of town

i think he may be a player that the sioux are waiting to see how he develops over the next year. maybe nelson as well from roseau anyone have info on hebel from warroad and what type of player he is? thanks and im sure there are many more out there they are looking at every week

i think his stats would have to be up 10 points for him to get serious consideration right now anyways and thats what is looked upon with the hobey to be at least in the top 10 or so.
