no reason to give phil a break. he plays 2 games per week and played 50 something in a row not because he wanted a long streak because he is our goalie that will get us to denver and thats it. he got a game off vs bemidji and that will and should be the only game off this year. phil has been great all season. lets get 2 points tomorrow and finish the regular season on a nice note making it 17 straight unbeaten!

ahh gopher33 congrats on your banners, well maybe you can hang another dq cup banner we dont hang participation banners like scsu but if we sweep and cc splits another banner can go up. we dont hang final 5 banners either only real banners which arent easy to come by as you may know. at least lucia is starting to recruit out of state now as things may be on the up and up for the all mighty M , do the gophers actually hang final 5 banners? dq cups are the best though,FREE butterscotch dilly bars for the whole team if they win it

yes both teams play with the national title in mind but keep telling yourself that and gopher fans sure wouldnt think that if you ended our season 2 of last 3 years with the 3rd year coming at your home rink

agree, thats a huge factor especially with a player that is drafted so high. you have to protect those picks without a doubt

ive heard that as well but they will take turris as soon as hes done this year if sconiie doesnt make the tourney and phx still has a few games left trying for that last playoff spot. don maloney the GM has said that in 5 interviews or so when asked about adding players for a playoff run and he only mentions turris as thats gretzkys prize pick. wheeler has the size and the skills to be a solid nhl player but turris is all they are talking about out here. the coyotes have a nice young core with mueller, hanzal and now turris and wheeler down the road. and i would hope that they both would be abe to play in the nhl as turris has only played 1 college year and wheeler has played 3. big difference

my take is it happens. the game is so fast at this level and its unfortunate but it happens and i agree once you are on the ice you dont think about being former teammates but i dont think he had any intention of hurting chay as im sure duncan didnt try to hurt barriball or whoever he checked from behind.

buddish, walters and ness are top recruits without a doubt. you win some and lose some as always. the sioux have gotten a few more cities kids latley not counting shattuck of course. the difference these days is kids arent born with a 1 track mindset anymore. those days have changed when you locked a kid into a school because they grew up in a certain area. i think a lot of it comes down to the style of play for you as a player to develop for the next level if you are a top notch recruit. bottom line is neither school has much to worry about when landing blue chippers but the lucia pet is realizing he better not continue doug woog style and go outside of minnesota to get top kids rather than settling for kids just because they are from minny. and to gopher33, wheeler isnt a shtty player by any means. it wasnt his fault he was mis evaluated and drafter too high. cant blame the kid. the coyotes know they drafted him a way higher than they should have and hope in 2-3 years he can be in their lineup. i havent seen many fans say phx wont sign, the reality is he was a top 5 pick and heavy heavy pressure comes with that status to help a nhl team out 1 or 2 years after being drafted and thats why he gets critisized. oh well back to topic - cant wait to see toews,cichy and gregoire in the green and white next season

hes gone no matter what after the sioux finish their season. who knows about school, tj will do what best for him the blues wont make the playoffs so tj will make his debut next season in a blue note. not sure about their minor league team in peoria though if they are set to make the playoffs. just checked and they seem to be in the middle of the pack.
