marto has been fine but i guess i was referring to when genoway went down and who i expected to pick up some slack. we all know chay isnt replacebale but when a top player goes down a couple others have to step it up a little

lapoint and marto need to step it up but thats just me. juniors that have played many games back there that can give this team a surge if they play to their capiblity or are they playing at their capabilty and thats what they are? im not sure i guess right now but im leaning to the 2nd choice. its not a bad thing but i thought when chay went down that those 2 needed to step up and that hasnt happened to the point needed. not slamming the guys for those who may think that but just my 2 cents. when genoway gets back i sit gleason and see how that 6 work out as we havent seen that this season with genoway and fienhage in. marto can take that 2nd pp unit load on and see what happens. he showed very nice things vs usa. hope that continues

fienhage has been very solid for being thrown right into the fire. i wouldnt sit him nightly when genoway gets back. you could rotate guys out as genoway needs to be on that blueline to make this team click and have a chance to get back to the frozen 4. genoway could step in and play forward without a hic up imo but he is so needed on this blueline. i think marto and lapoint need to step their game up for this 2nd half if in there nightly when genoway returns. gleason as well. the 3 best d men have been blood fienhage and macwilliam. the key is getting chay back on the blueline and i think other things trickle down from there for everyone else

yes, i agree. once we get chay back it will get very interesting! he makes the sioux a ncaa title contender. thats my take on chay and i think the record shows as well how much he means to the sioux

no, you play hockey and make sure kristo isnt one of the players that you are lining up would be nice to see the sioux give these guys a real game and battle for the win whihc will be very tough missing 2 of your top scorers in kristo and genoway then throw zajac in there who is so solid on D. very tough team to play against because of pure skill but add dean blais to the mix and im sure this isnt gona be you last 4-5 years usa teams.

thats fine not saying he will be a every night player but i think he will play in she show someday. if you skate like chay skates along with his offensive skills that seperates some players with he lack of size. hope he makes it someday go sioux, beat USA and dont hit kristo that hard

most of the usa team are nhl guys. i think we have 16 or so not counting genoway who will play in the nhl someday

it has really became a mess in regards to officials. a big friken mess. I dont bring up referees and dont blame them for any losses along the way but its gotten very bad. All of the wcha teams have felt the wrath of this over the last handful of years. We have seen games blown due TO crap ass reffing and players/refs not being held responsible for their actions either. Lets hope it changes and if it doesnt then its time to start taking matters into their own hands and deal with it on the ice. I know many college teams dont fight (many weak scrums but nto really figitng if you get my drift) and I understand the rules but suspending a player for one game and never suspending refs is a joke. It is time to put the fighting back into the fighting sioux, or has it ever gone away since most of the real fights happen with the sioux handling previous business at the right moment over the years... to be clear, i dont like fighting for no apparent reason. a good solid legal hit doesnt require fighting but we see it in the nhl but doesnt make it the right thing to do. allow a player to have control of a matter and you will see less CFB and less overall cheap shots. the majority of these players havent ever fought but some like delivering shots that they cant back up if approached im done go sioux

that is coorect, didnt think about that. i have no clue if a goalie coach is a big deal or not but i would have to guess it would help out if it was possible to hire one. karl goehring is also helping elsewhere but one of those 2 would be nice to have as a full time goalie coach. do many college teams have them? i know nhl teams do but wasnt sure on college
