-
make sure thet have the puck for the most part not comign this year. always love watching the sioux on the road though! fun times
-
use speed on the big ice, hit everything moving in white and make those PP opportunities count
-
think that was cardinal. yeah 3 + goals per game for the sioux is a good measuring stick for success. pretty much been the norm for the sioux that they win lots of games when getting 3 + goals the last few years
-
was a nice write up! cant wait til tomorrow night who is schroeder playing with these days line wise and what type of player is your transfer cepis? gracias
-
if you see patterson then thats your win cant wait, great sports weekend. sioux vs gophers both nights.......cardinals vs saints and vikes vs cowgirls SIOUXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXEEP 4-2 friday 4-3 overtime win saturday safe travels back to the cold gopherz

doubt we see him the way the other 12 forwards have been playing but you never know i guess. i expect he and hill to be the extras in the press box
-
i dont think we will have enough players if more than 1 forward and 1 d man gets a DQ for next weekend though with that being said get 4 points and knock gophs all over their own ice. put an end to any hopes they may have in digging themselves out of the black hole they are in ncaa picture wise. yes i know the wcha standings are closer but the poll that matters is the pairwise and lets knock them right back out of the pwr!! for some of the fans that wonder how the sioux can be so much higher in the pwr comparing to wcha standings just look at overall records. the sioux are undefeated in non conference play and the gophers overall are 3-9-1 vs teams with winning records and 1-5-0 at home vs teams with winning records. (thanks cardinal for the stats) nice write up as well on gpl homepage! well done

great post SM, just an amazing string of players mentioned on this board. nhl stars to olympians to career echl/ahl/europe guys, this univesity has produced some great players over the years. fun to look back and check out. here is my most current list. there may be a few that are off ahl/nhl wise but if anyone has info on others you see incorrect please notify me. thanks for the help Former Players link if any hockeydb.com links dont work some of the overseas players can be found searching here eurohockey.net - player search side notes - goren has put on many many jerseys, wow. schneider plays for a team called the rosters! awesome jpar back in austria, wonder if he and ducan hobey play against each other? duncan has 43 points in 40gp - watkins sticking in AHL and has 10 points in 21 gp is brad williamson done? hes not showing 09-10 stats also david lundbohm? lando wilson? just showing 6gp this season in AHL brad defauw? im guessing hes retired is brad miller injured? just showing 16gp for idaho? bryan lundbohm released from syracuse, i think he was injured but not sure if hes signed anywhere else? radke is on injured reserve for idaho zach jones is out with a injured knee for south carolina finley is on injured list for south carolina as well matt jones hasnt played this season, i read he had some sort of issue injury wise i believe not sure what kind of league martens is in but good for him having 20 points in 15 gp

CHN - ALL DECADE TEAMS SECOND TEAM F Zach Parise -- North Dakota (2002-04) One of only two two-year players in the list, Parise dominated in that time, going 49-67--116. Despite a 30-win campaign in 2003-04, North Dakota didn't make the Frozen Four, and coach Dean Blais left after that season for the NHL. So did Parise. After famously falling in the first round of the NHL Draft, New Jersey Devils general manager Lou Lamoriello traded up to grab him, and all he's done is become the best goal-scoring American of his generation. Parise, who had 45 goals in the NHL last season, was just named to the U.S. Olympic team.

gopher article as a sioux fan i dont mind hearing a opposing player mention 5 days before a series that they will have to match the opossing teams intensity. come out flying boys and knock these guys around the ice!! The Sioux visit Mariucci for the first time in two seasons this weekend. "Hopefully we can match their intensity," Fairchild said. "Obviously [the Harvard sweep] was a big confidence booster for us. We are going to have to have a good week of practice. We are confident." saying kangas has struggled vs the sioux his last 3 starts is a understatement...... in his last 3 games vs the sioux hes givin up (4 goals in 4-0 loss) (5 goals getting pulled) (6 goals getting pulled) with a 1-4-1 overall record vs und in his 2 + years at minnesota giving up a total of 20 goals. his first 3 games vs the sioux his freshman year were much better posting a 1-1-1 giving up only 5 total goals. he then followed that solid start by giving up a total of 15 goals in the last 3 starts vs und getting yanked 2 of those 3 times all in grand forks. frazee started 1 game during kangas freshman year vs und and patterson started 1 game this season in grand forks getting a 3-3 tie

since there are not taxi squads anymore for the olympics in case of injuries and we have a little time before the games start if there is an injury does usa hockey just pick whoever they want to replace a player? also witout a taxi squad if a player gets hurt lets say game #2 in the olympics can a team then fly a player in? thanks for any insight
