  1. in a sea of green at the X, that would do!
  2. umm, screw that. just root for a couple ties or duluth to drop 1 hopefully. not for the gophs to win
  3. How will this play out?? What if Calculator Sioux sit in 1st place but with 2 games in hand over DU and UMD who sit right behind them. As of today they sit tied for 2nd with DU in the pairwise rakings WCHA Standings Pairwise Rankings DU takes on CC this weekend in a home and home. GO TIGERS!! UMD hosts the Gophers who are battling for home ice with CC for that 6 spot. I just noticed UAA and SCSU are in cc and the gophs rearview.

  7. rowney has had some flashes here and there. ill say one plays each night if martos back on D. im assuming nelson is in either way but i may be wrong on that
  8. i hope davidson and nelson play. marto to D and rowney sits. simpson missed the trip due to illness

  12. haks going to get #8 this year! then the floodgates will open to pass michigans 9 this team has a hell of a shot like they have every season since he arrived as the head coach. the BC debacles are what hurts him the most and i agree that those were just awful to watch and even worse live. hak will get his and it may start in april. we will see. in hak i trust!! go sioux!! i want BC in the title game! wait, did i just say that?? all is good in sioux hockey land (leading the country in wins, 3rd in pairwise and 1 point out of 1st in the wcha) these next 3 months are going to be a fun run to watch

  15. The Sioux head to Colorado Springs after two home splits. The Sioux sit tied for 3rd in pariwise (on pace for a 1 seed), tied 2nd in wcha (with umd, 1 point behind the gwozettes) and have the most wins in the nation with 18. Sure the Sioux have had some let downs the last few weeks but with a month left of wcha play they still sit in one hell of a spot to get a 1 seed and win another WCHA title. Things could be worse... The one thing that stood out this weekend to me was the short handed goals and how they happened. The D needs to sure up a bit, especially with a lead but all in all there aren't many teams as talented than the sioux. #8 in st paul!! 16. he just seems to be the odd man out. rowney and rodwell bring size, speed (rodwell, which im still impressed every game) and toughness between the two of them. cichy was playing decent then just fell off the map. hope we see him in there soon!
  17. as he has all year but i get what your saying......simpson isnt just playing but hes on 2nd unit pp, well at least last weekend he was and wasnt afraid at all to make a pl;ay or shoot. i like his puck movement and offensive abilities, the rest will come with more and more game minutes. i like this lineup. cichy is the only guy ive been suprised about but hak knows what hes doing!

  19. i just corrected one mistake i had with miller. hes ohio not penn and yes how it is changing. arizona's youth hockey has grown so much along with california ect....untraditional hockey hot beds are producing big time wcha talent. when i moved there when i was 10 in 1991 there maybe were a few rinks that you could get icetime in. i believe du, cc and und will all have arizona players in the next 2 years and there could be more overlooked

  21. he sounds like the guy nice find for the sioux! older, tough as hell and can skate from what ive read. nice work!
  22. the 3 choices for fssn on fcs for sioux home hockey games on direct tv are always 617, 623 and 625 this weekends game on direct tv go as follows friday - 617 saturday - 623
  23. i know you arent knocking him but being the 64th ranked best player in the world for that age group isnt that bad. i see that only improving by draft day! simpson was rated higher a year or two ago and yes since his ice time has gone up twice as much he is rising back up. if it keeps up i see him as a 2nd rounder and grimaldi and miller 1st rounders. i guess we will see. if anything all 3 should be drafted in the first 2 rounds whereever they go. what i noticed about simpson last weekend is his ability to make the simple pass out of the zone and also he made some very poised plays on the pp as he saw lots of 2nd unit time. he made mistakes but lets remember he doesnt turn 18 until next month. go find me another 17 yr old on the 2nd pp unit on a #2 national ranked team. very impressive from what we saw early. from the sounds, the duo of grimaldi and miller sound like the real deal
  24. per brad bob mckenzie has his top nhl draft top 60 and hm list out. mid season rankings. list 28. J.T. Miller 31. Rocco Grimaldi 65. Dillon Simpson
