Nope

Not Blasi!! No way, no how.

Both gentlemen are still with us, and still sports fans.

No UND alumni hires! The gene pool needs to be re-populated with a new stud. and, as someone implied earlier, hire a hockey ops person who is basically a GM of personnel

Look at the birthdates - 24/46 (52%) are Jan-April, lesser of dates after. That early birth day bias is real across all sports. so, if we want to increase probability of future athletic advancement, plan for the act to 9 months before the age date cutoff of your chosen sport, and hopefully you are partnered with a genetic specimen.

Don’t hate on A Wiebe - he is solid

WahpBreck is most likely not coming back (at least in the status quo) but Watford does indeed seem intent on joining NDHSAA (at least on the boys side).

Good Puck luck happens when you outwork the other team, soooooooo . . . .

get Littler and Croal with boisvert and UND wins in 2. Any other lineup and UND is too soft to succeed, and are making tee times on Monday.

I read an article in The Minneapolis Star-Tribune that presented the fact that the MSHSL has lost about 1 boys varsity HS team every year for the last 15 years, with similar decline in girls (I forget the statistic); and that participation in each has dropped by about 10-15% over the reporting period. the article theorizes about cause (essentially complexity of participation and demographic trends) and without going into the merits of the theories, let this fact sink in: Bloomington, a city of 100,000+ will have ONE HS boys varsity team as the venerable Kennedy HS can no longer field a team. the overall skill has never been better (in ND and MN imho) but falling participation is a doom loop for HS hockey. for those truly interested in the future of the sport these are alarming facts. The governance of the sport needs to focus on participation and development of all participants not just the A/AA kids. ND HS so far is avoiding the downward trend and actually looks to be adding at least one more team in the near future (Minot North).

Why on earth is Littler not in the lineup? The best lineup is with Littler and Croal with Boisvert and 18 and 29 taking stats. But now 2-4 so there we go.

Two things never seen before tonight: 1. pulling your goalie when the other team is forechecking in your D zone even crazier when there is 2 minutes left in the game. 2. Scoring an ENG after winning the race on an icing

Why? And why should anyone care about Moorhead?

I know you mean Aviators Bantam AA but all grand forks youth hockey association teams are called the aviators.

The trip to Kalamazoo was totally worth it. We watched two entertaining hockey games with UND working hard in both and had lots of laughs.

The school board is the final decision maker. Consultants consult, boards decide.

There is no open enrollment. 80 (or so) applications for in-district transfer from RRHS attendance boundary to GFC boundary were approved for this season. 40 (or so) such applications from GFC to RRHS were approved.

Got enough for 6 visitors?

When one of the proponents of the play-in game concept was asked why play-in games are needed, the reply was, “ So players learn to win in must-win games so they are prepared for HS hockey.” Bantam AA and Bantam A have play-in games, but Bantam B1 does not. So evidently Bantam B1 players will never play HS hockey. Play-in games started last season.

2021-22 ND High School Hockey

I am very optimistic about the NDHSAA girls tournament in Minot. Those guys and gals put on a great tournament! I predict it will be the only NDHSAA hockey tournament ever that stays on schedule. Growing and supporting female hockey is a passion for me. Sadly, most people who talk about it the loudest really mean “make it the best it can be FOR ME so I can leave at the first chance I get” The prevalence of female players leaving will increase and it it makes me sad. -
TheFlop references having two Pee Wee AA teams in GF as if that is a bad thing. GFYHA did exactly the right thing with that decision. Both teams are equally drafted from the top 30 or so players and do very well against everyone else’s top 15. GFYHA should be applauded for their choice and encouraged to keep doing it.

This rush for unsanctioned hockey is EXACTLY!!! what happened when NDAHA stopped all activities when Gov Burgum issued a Exec Order that suspended all youth club sports in December. The mad rush for private individuals to rent ice was amazing to watch and entirely predictable. Some even contacted rinks in MN. Clark17 made a great point about Rule 10 being a barrier to enforce academic and comportment rules. Time to think that one through for a while.
