  1. HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE: DAKOTADOME RENOVATIONS https://goyotes.com/sports/2019/8/30/DakotaDome-Renovations.aspx As one of South Dakota's most recognizable landmarks, the DakotaDome has been a cornerstone of Coyote athletics for decades. Our goal is to ensure it remains a cornerstone by transforming the DakotaDome into a championship-level facility befitting a highly competitive Division I athletics program. RENOVATIONS: South Dakota completed an 18-month, $26 million renovation to the west side of the DakotaDome in the summer of 2020. This “first phase” featured two new entrances to the facility, bringing the total to four main entrances. It also included a new football locker room that covers more than 6,000 square feet and boasts 110 individual lockers. The most noticeable improvement for fans are the installation of permanent seating throughout the west side, the addition of loge boxes and suites right above the sidelines, and a new modern concourse with an industrial kitchen. New lighting and sound system also enhance the gameday experience.
  2. I think your #nodak651 answer to #Irish ? is very good. Bubba is continuing to improve this team/program. Just taking longer than most would like. Bubba's insistence in playing the Bison in 2015 and 2019 and us joining MVFC was smart, which actually kind of led up to this game and the next. The Bison played a conservative game and tried their best not to turn the ball over. Also, kind of like wait and see what happens attitude. We were also conservative, but with a few high risk plays and a lot of stacking the box. The defense showed they can keep us in every remaining game. Now, some PURPLE. Banking on a late season rematch, Bubba didn't give anything away offensively to the Bison. If fact, unintentionally showed them that we make not so smart moves resulting in mistakes. Relax, in kind of an opposing team mentality, don't worry about us in late fall? We struggle against top teams in the FCS?
  3. Cuz the sports casters that make the poll in STATS TOP 25 think the Yotes need to show us some more before they move them up. Massey doesn't have the legs when it comes to the selection committee.

  5. As facebook is shut down, the world will temporarily have their blinders off.
  6. A loss in Vermilion would be a larger set back as they are not ranked in the top 25, in the FCS STATS Top 25 Poll. If we're hanging around the hole when the selection committee is pulling rabbits out of the hat, a slip to the Yotes here be not good.

  8. He needs serious help. Banning hasn't worked. Last few years he has come in as the Mexican Cartel (ElChapo). You know how everyone jokes about don't feed a troll. Well posters can't help themselves and throw out the worm. Faithful Bison posters are shooting very serious arrows at him, and he sucks the razor tips right up.
  9. That was home field advantage, should of called a Muligan on that 4th down on the 20.
  10. Of coarse winning is part of the equation. Getting fans to understand when it is appropriate to make noise. The band needs to not get in the way with their tunes. The band playing when we have the ball also gets the crowd to making noise right up to a snap. The big screens and Alerus speakers also need to adhear to the home team noise ethics. Cheer leaders and cheer groups can help educate the not so schooled fans. Etc. I did notice a notice on the big screens about "being quiet", so someone is starting to try to get it right. There are many appropriate opportunities to screem like hell.
  11. Yotes just beat Indiana St and previously lost to Missouri St. We missed an opportunity yesterday and will be hungry. We are in our sophmore year in this conference with the Dakota boys, and proving we belong from the get go. SD will give us their best, they have grown a desire to avenge losses on missed opportunities in GF. This game will be a battle, as we try to get in a winning rythum with the grind of the MVFC.
  12. That's a lock pick. Bet the farm on UND
  13. #5 North Dakota State at #10 North Dakota in first conference game of the season and a battle for state bragging rights. October 2, 2021 · 2 p.m. in a sell out in Grand Forks, ND. Beautiful morning for tail gating. Today is one of those days in ND that the weather is not the number one topic of conversation.
  14. UND football primer: How to watch, injuries to know and matchups for No. 10 Fighting Hawks against No. 5 North Dakota State by Tom Miller https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/football/7218944-UND-football-primer-How-to-watch-injuries-to-know-and-matchups-for-No.-10-Fighting-Hawks-against-No.-5-North-Dakota-State UND takes a 12-game home winning streak into Saturday. The streak is the third-longest active home winning streak in the FCS, behind only James Madison and Eastern Washington. The game is a sellout, with more than 12,000 fans expected to fill the Alerus. Although UND saw more than 12,000 fans in two games early in the 2017 season, the atmosphere Saturday might not be something Grand Forks has seen since the 2003 UND-NDSU game. Both UND and NDSU are coming off bye weeks.
  15. Overrated is correct, especially on this board. They lost 3 games last season, Southern Illinois, SD State, & Sam Houston. Could have 4 losses this season starting with their first today.
