I’m done with Tommy. Don’t get me wrong, he has done good things and will lead UND in a lot of categories. He was also not the only issue with today’s game. With that being said, I don’t think he is the guy to lead this team on a deep playoff run. It is unlikely they will make this move this year, but I wonder if they will have the balls to not have him back for his Covid year next season.

UND would go to the Fargodome next week and lose to the bison by 30. Teams usually play better at home, but Bubba’s teams aren’t even close to the same team on the road. Legitimately a 20 point swing, sometimes even more.

They will win their next 2. I see them at 7-4, or 8-3. They won’t beat SDSU, but will have a good chance against SIU at home and UNI on the road.

Love that Danny didn’t get too cute today. We were running at will and he kept with it, even on 3rd down. The Vaughn pitch to Skokna was a beautiful play call and design.

Never said that this isn’t on coaching, it obviously is. The one I quoted was more specific to the SDSU game, not on the big picture. I think everyone on here would agree that they could do a better job developing players once they get here. I think it’s fair to say that two things can be true: 1. SDSU had better players overall at every position group and we got manhandled. 2. Coaching was lackluster and they didn’t seem prepared.

Coaching matters, but so do the players you recruit. If the players you recruit aren’t good enough then it doesn’t matter how good the coach is.

Holm has had a solid year as well!

A UND team that ended up 5-6 in 2021 competed with and honestly had chances to beat a NDSU team that ended up winning it all. (I understand they had a different QB at the time, but it’s not like Miller ended up being a world beater) UND is a different team at home and I believe the crowd will play a factor like it did in 2021. One of the only games I’ve been to in the Al where fans were standing every down on defense. There is absolutely no reason this game shouldn’t be competitive and it’s time to finally beat them.
