When our Men’s team was really bad in 2021-22, they only beat Mayville by 4. If they had played a team like Jamestown that year I don’t know if they win…

I think Pawlak has done a great job. Unfortunately we haven’t seen this type of development on the defensive side of the ball IMO.

Quick thoughts.
- S / OLB - Portal or bust. On paper, these positions currently are awful.
- D-Line - Needs a lot of help via the portal, but a bit better of a situation than S / OLB

If we stick with what we have in house at OLB it’s gonna be another long year on the defensive side of the ball. I like what I have seen from Rucker but nothing else excites me in that room.
Are we counting on our young guys at DE? I’d imagine we would have to bring in a couple of safeties as well.

I hope Bubba makes me eat crow, but USD and SDSU sticking with their coaches is buying him more time IMO. It’s easy to point to those examples instead of making the right decision. I hope I’m wrong and we have a good year, but I am not very optimistic going into next year.

If we see the same !@#$ from Danny this doesn’t matter.
I think this had to be done to get to the level we want. There is chance we will miss what we had but we have to take this risk.

He got any connections that could help turn around a defense? If they promoted HC from within I’d almost pick him first.

It’s been “prove it” time for UND football for a while as far as I’m concerned, and we continue to get 7-4 with occasional 5-6 and 3-8 sprinkled in.
I think this is what UND wants … the followers to be slowly but surely conditioned to accept this level of production and expectation
I am not ok with where this program is at and I have higher expectations. I would assume there is a decent amount on this board that think this as well, the problem is that we are the diehards and represent a small majority of the fan base.

Agreed that Danny was bad both games. The defense has to be better against Sac St though. It’s not like the defense was on the field the majority of the game and didn’t get any rest.

The last two playoff games the defense has been as bad as you can be. At this point, what can be done to save it? What is there to be excited about on that side of the ball next year?
This defense isn’t even close to being good or where it needs to be. With no likely changes to the defensive staff, what is going to change? -
