He doesn’t even list himself as a qb on his Twitter. His highlights don’t show much passing. Really hoping he’s not offered as a qb.

His twitter page has his stats ... 1,261 pass yds. with  19TD and 8 INT.

    About time. Now offer Pearce.

The problem with QB is that most teams only bring in 1 per year compared to other positions.  Is Jake being recruited as a QB?  If so, they may hold off as UND and I assume other teams seem to go all out on their pursuit of their offered QBs.  Pearce may not be offered for a while or at all if they think Jake will take the offer.  I think the recruitment of QBs are so much different than any other position.  Take the RB position, if they have a need to bring in 2 every year, they may offer 5 or 6.

So, how exactly does this affect the Alerus Center?  Seems like all the money is going towards this new rec facility.  Are there any plans for how this tax extension will be used to keep the Alerus Center up to date?  I kinda feel like there is a little bit of a bait and switch, but that said, I don't know the details... anyone have any insight on this?

    NOVEMBER 14, 2023
    SPECIAL ELECTION
The City of Grand Forks held a special election on November 14th, 2023 where citizens voted to extend the 3/4% sales tax currently collected for the Alerus Center beyond the 2029 sunset date and use those funds for both Alerus Center Capital Maintenance Projects and the construction of an indoor turf, aquatics & court facility.

A portion of the 3/4% sales tax will continue to support the the Alerus Center capital improvement needs, but the majority will go towards quality of life projects which is mainly the aquatics and turf complex.

    Over under 15

Next week will tell us a lot about the current state of the program.  Graduate transfers are one thing, they put their time in, got their UND degree and want to move on… I can live with that.

What is the prediction on what level and what type of school Schuster will land at?

5-11 with limited  scrambling skills and arm strength, I would say D2.  He is a great game manager but with limited upscale to his game.

Tyree isn’t an abomination from 3 but he’s not a shooter either. Shot 34% last year but only 16 makes. I’d be surprised if Kraft is seeing many minutes next year.

I will disagree on Kraft, I am told the coaching staff has been overly impressed with him and the one most game ready to play from the freshman group.  Time will tell I guess.

You know you don’t believe that.

We will have to figure out how to break a zone, that’s for sure. Teams are going to let us shoot all day from 3, I’d imagine. I’m not trying to look to next year already but our two biggest needs have to be a big and a shooter.

You will have Eaglestaff, Tyre and Kraft that can all shoot next year.  I would imagine that next years shooting % from the 3 will be greatly improved just with the players they have now.

    This team is special

Still concerned about the lack of true shooters from the outside on this team.  Other than Eaglestaff, who is there BJ maybe on good days? Eli King certainly doesn't like to shoot as he always looks to pass first.

I agree. Was very underutilized I think. But with some of the underclassman coming up, probably seeing that his role doesn’t increase…

He didn’t have the best attitude, was benched multiple games.  Probably best for both parties to part ways.

The fellas better not sleep on the Tuesday game against Concordia St. Paul. They have been bad for a few years but  their coach has rebuilt their roster a bit as they have 5 former D1 players including a 7th year senior who is averaging 25 and shooting 45% from 3 and as a team they are shooting 40% from 3.

They are playing Concordia Cobbers from Moorhead.

Omot is currently shooting 14% from three on 7 attempts a game....

How Danielson still gets more minutes than Brooks is absolutely mind blowing....

I don't love Omot playing the 4, but there should be thoughts of starting Brooks over Deng and moving Omot to the 4. The season is young but through 5 games Deng hasn't really provided anything

Amar was a great addition. If he keeps playing like this, he should be putting pressure on a decision to start him over TT

Deng is getting less minutes every game  it appears

Time to get rid of fbs games

you try get to 7 wins with a loss before you start the season

Good or bad these help fund the program… roughly 500k per game now.

Doesn't ESPN+ use the Midco crew (camera operators, technical crew, and the announcers)? If so, the game has to start at noon to give Midco enough time to set up at the Ralph for hockey that night.

They might use a couple of them to free lance, but no ESPN brings their own production crew/equipment.
