Wish these were all just on ESPN+. The Summit league messed up going with Midco and forcing everyone to get another streaming service for just one league…

Midco is also bidding on all streaming rights for Missouri valley football and soon NCHC hockey as well

Anyone else have problems with the Midco Sports Plus app when using it on a TV? Works fine on my phone but constantly needs to buffer on TV. Don't have this with any other streaming service so don't think its my internet or TV

    Works well on my tv

  3. Who knows how this season will end, but FWIW I spoke to a current sophomore BB player the other day.  while he wasn't sure how this year would play out he is very optimistic about next year.  He is confident the core sophomore group will return and said the current freshman are very talented.  He seemed very optimistic about next year.  He mentioned that several times during their practices/scrimmages the freshman group would get the best of the starting 5.   Sather would then lose it and chew out the starters .  Are the freshman this good?  Or the starters that bad?   Time will tell.

  4. Bubba with Tim on 1440 this morning… “this is a great day to be part of UND football, we have a chance to name a new leader of our offense.  My phone is blowing up with all the interest for other coaches”.

never mentioned Danny once, just said how much excitement there is around the program right now… what a shame

Mayar is in uniform for warmups and warming up. Not 100% sure the rules on being ineligible but don’t think it’s even legal to be in uniform if you’re academically ineligible.

Technically still eligible until the spring semester starts next Monday

Would think he’s just done. I guess it opens another scholarship.

I would agree, no ties to the region and obviously can't pass school.  The JUCCO route in recruiting is a challenge.  Its frustrating when looking other rosters such as South Dakota State's roster.  All the kids on their roster other than maybe one is from the upper Midwest (ND, SD, NE and Iowa)

Another thing of note from this game, I’ve never seen a player get humiliated by an opposing teams bench like Brooks was yesterday. I legit felt bad for Brooks. I’m not sure who on staff is in charge of player development but they let him down big time this summer. In fact I’m not sure if the person in charge has any idea what they’re doing when it comes to shooting mechanics. It’s really sad watching some of these guys shoot

I agree watching them not even remotely guard him at the 3 point line is embarrassing.  Once again we have one guard playing that can shoot … Treyson  and st Thomas was all over him

For some reason we are offering average division 3 players with no D1 offers to try to improve our defense. Coaches getting worried they can’t get anyone? Recruiting is already bad enough because they only recruit the same 5 states. On top of this we need top level fcs with some fbs talent to make up for Joel’s inexperience and lack of football and coaching knowledge. Unfortunately, as long as he is the coordinator the defense will always struggle.

Their more than average, they have been labeled as raw and unproven with high potential

Someone one I trust evaluating ND HS FB talent told me Payne has P5 athleticism. He's projected to play DL at UND. That hurdle is much lower than Deng figuring out the WR position.

Ok, but once again it’s only bubba and crew seeing this as no other college moved on either of them.  Maybe they will turn out to be gems, let’s hope

And that’s why they’re labeled “raw but talented”.

There certainly is risk that one or both of them don’t work out, but it’s worth the risk given athletic potential. They just need to buy in and transform into DI football players. The new strength and conditioning coach/program will be crucial, and that is an unknown right now.

As for current coaching staff, we know what we’re going to get from them from X’s and O’s standpoint by this point, not to mention leadership (mainly lack thereof) in big games, but I’ll just leave that alone for right now …

Bubba is the only coach doing this apparently.  WDAZ interviewed Paye today and he  is still shocked to be playing football in college as he just started playing the sport 2 years ago.

I'm rooting for Deng Deng. Would be a great ND HS story for him to pan out. He's ridiculously athletic.

Anyone else concerned that bubba speaks to his and Eric Paye’s bb skills more than actual football skills and then speaks to upside potential.  I have seen both play FB and came away very unimpressed with both.  Both athletically gifted but didn’t look the part of a D1 ability.
