FH should not have been on the list. Only 1 person submitted it from the stakeholder group. It didn't meet any of the criteria, while Nodaks, Sundogs, RR, Northstars met some of the requirements.

Yes. A bird does not meet the criteria set forth by the stakeholders. It needs to be scrapped.

Military theme (aircraft?) or my favorite (2 tomahawks crossed). Since there is no such thing as a fighting hawk bird, the tomahawks could be fighting tomahawks!

The task force was given the following directives for the new name and/or logo: 1. Be inspiring - fail 2. Honorable - fail 3. Represent the state and region - fail 4. Source of pride - fail 5. Represent UND - fail In the task force meeting minutes it states "It should be remembered that respect for and acceptance of the new nickname cannot be mandated, but rather needs to be earned." Where am I going with this? The task force failed on the name. UND needs to salvage this by flushing the 1st try at the logo and getting us something that fits the criteria the that the stakeholders asked for. I have moved on from the FS name so don't put me in that Sioux forever camp. Many of us will not settle for what we ended up with, bland and unimaginative.

I am going to keep asking for something original; it will have to be the logo. It will probably take 10 years, so be it.

The accept and move on (approval rate) is higher than 3% but is nowhere near 50%. Until we have something original (better logo) or until us baby boomers die off, the FH supporters are in the minority. I ignore name and logo because I agree with F4Sioux that FH is a total failure.

I agree 100%. Ed should have been smart enough to pick a logo that somehow could have been associated with UND or the state or GF. How about a military theme? (I know, I'm a broken record). Maybe in 10 years or so, we will have a UND president that can figure it out and flush the one we have down the drain.

I still like this better than the postage stamp.

I will just buy North Dakota wearables and ignore the FH name, logo and now this mascot (and continue to cheer for my UND teams). I know Darrell1976 will be unhappy with me.
